Time and again, Cedric Alexander is named the fastest rising star in Ring of Honor. The breakout star. The future of wrestling.

Adam Cole has a big problem with that.

As far as he is concerned, nobody needs to worry about the next big thing so long as Adam Cole is the current star of the show. Someone like Cedric Alexander might be destined for big things...but there's no way he can ever hope to be as big as Adam Cole. In the past, Cole was called the "future." And he lived up to every bit of hype, finally winning the ROH World Championship.

But Cedric Alexander has been having show stealing matches and huge opportunities night after night. There's no denying what he has the potential to become - the sky is the limit when you're that hungry and talented! On September 27th in Wheeling, Adam Cole and Cedric Alexander will face each other one-on-one. This is another huge opportunity for Cedric to continue to prove himself against the best of the best!

- ROH World Tag Team Championship: The Decade (Roderick Strong & Jimmy Jacobs) vs. reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly)

The ROH Tag Team Titles will be on the line in Wheeling! After an amazing 2/3 Falls victory over The Young Bucks in Toronto, reDRagon needed new challengers. The tag scene in Ring of Honor is incredibly comparative and constantly getting hotter! With so many teams on the rise, Nigel McGuinness has the difficult task of determining who deserves title opportunities. Inevitably, someone is unhappy with every decision!

Speaking of unhappy, The Decade are perpetually unsatisfied with everything about ROH. They have built their entire campaign around being overlooked and underapprecated. And now they want title shots thud feel they've been denied. Jimmy Jacobs is nothing if not passionate and persistent. He is a former tag team champion himself, and he's ready for another run with the titles. Along with Roderick Strong, he insists he's been the backbone of this company and it's about time someone here showed a modicum of appreciation for that.

Nigel McGuinness finally had enough and decided it's time for The Decade to put up or shut up. On September 27th, they'll take on reDRagon - and it's going to be an ROH World Tag Team Championship match!

- Adam Page vs. Tadarius Thomas

In recent weeks, cracks have started to show in The Decade. Tension between BJ Whitmer and Roderick Strong has spilled onto ROH events and fans are asking questions. And Adam Page - once the meek little "young boy" - seems to be gathering courage. Surprisingly, Page has been siding with the man who has made his life so difficult - BJ Whitmer! Through it all, it's appeared that Jimmy Jacobs is playing peacekeeper. The official line from The Decade is that they are a united front despite disagreements. That they have gone through too much for pro wrestling to fall apart now. But there's one issue they can't sweep under the rug any longer: Tadarius Thomas.

Along with Adam Page, Thomas has been "learning" humility and respect under The Decade. But according to BJ Whitmer, Tadarius is the weak link of the group and needs to go. Jimmy Jacobs, on the other hand, has quite a different opinion. In the eyes of Jacobs, TD is untapped potential. Something special. ROH has been built upon hungry young athletes who offer something unique. And Tadarius Thomas, with his skills in capoeira, offers a fighting style unlike anything else in wrestling.

Shockingly, Adam Page doesn't have his fellow young boy's back - instead, he's in agreement with BJ Whitmer! The lines have been drawn. Jimmy Jacobs has a solution, and it's leading to a match no one thought they'd see anytime soon. On September 27th, Tadarius Thomas will face Adam Page!

And that's not all! As announced previously, the returning, reborn MATT SYDAL will battle AJ Styles! Plus new ROH Champion Jay Briscoe will defend his title against the winner of the night's Honor Rumble!

ACH is still being used even though he missed the PPV show. There was at least talk of not using him. ACH missed his flight. Several ROH performers and management tried to contact him and ROH was able to book him on a later flight, except all phone calls from everyone went straight to voice mail. Raymond Rowe, who lives near him, tried getting in touch. Kyle O’Reilly contacted him through Facebook when the phone didn’t work and ACH said is father was supposed to pick him up and take him to the airport and never showed up. Even at 4 p.m., a few hours before the show, nobody could contact him because he wasn’t answering the phone. The company provided him new flight info but he never picked up. He’s an athletic phenom who could have a bright future in the business, but this was a bad sign, and it wasn’t the first, as there was an issue at a PWG show where he ended up breaking down. He’s said to be really immature about business and doesn’t show the level of ambition as most of the rest of the roster, and at shows, spends a lot of time playing with his hand held video games.

Michael Elgin’s situation has worsened. He’s getting work on small indies in Ontario while he’s stuck there. But the 90 day thing we were told for him to be able to return to the U.S. is now considered a best case scenario, but it’s possible it could take longer. Elgin was really upset about it, being away from his wife, home, pets, etc. for three months. He’s been added to some indie shows over this past weekend and the next few months in Canada.

The company’s biggest market television clearance to date on WJLA, Ch. 7 in Washington, DC, starts on Saturdays at 1 a.m. on 9/20. That’s late Saturday night, not early Saturday morning.

They also announced a return to Toronto on 5/15 and 5/16, a Friday & Saturday night, both at the Ted Reeve Arena. The first night will be an iPPV show and the second night will be a TV taping. They are also looking at booking New York a week later and trying to bring in the New Japan stars, but that is just an idea and not a deal.

And, regardless who is at fault for the Elgin thing, that's got to be horrible. I wouldn't wish what he's going through on my worst enemy.

Ok ACH, I find him a Little spotty but I won't deny his command over the crowd, that being said I've just lost a ton of respect for the man, "My daddy couldn't take me to the airport" doesn't work for a grown ass employed man, this isn't missing a Little league game, ACH is not a boy, he should've gotten himself to the airport, take a fn cab, take a bus, hitchhike anything, wrestling's cardinal rule is that you don't miss bookings. If his excuse would've involved health I would've given him a pass, but this? I can picture promotions trying to book ACH now "Ok where is the show, I'll tell my daddy to drive me there." If this story of him not manning up and going by himself to the airport is true, then he has lost face about the way promoters perceive him. It reminds of when Buff Bagwell's mom called JR and told him that Buff was sick and wouldn't be able to work. Wrestling is not an art form or a hobby, it's a business, you collect a paycheck, you put your body on the line to get noticed and paid above all, every match can be your last...f*** Hayabusa broke his neck trying a lionsault. I'll admit I'm an inmature s.o.b, but if someone pays me to do something at the best of my ability I would give them everything I've got...playing with video games at 26 going 27 is ok, just not in your place of business, I can picture a talent trying to talk serious business with him, or some booker laying down an angle, and him playing Pokemon Gold or something, he has the talent to get signed by the E, but his attitude don't fly there, Bill DeMott would slap the gameboy outta his hands...I'm dissapointed in ACH, I don't think ROH is gonna keep him around much longer if the story is true, or have him job for a good while, management is mad at him by letting Jay Lethal call him a crack head at the show.

As far as Elgin goes, I'm sorry about what happened to him, but it was his fault for not handling his own papers, if he gets more than the 90 day suspension, ROH wouldn't be liable to fire him because it was his responsibilty not them.

THE KINGDOM'S PLAN



The Kingdom, consisting of Former ROH World Champion Adam Cole and “Title of Love” holders Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis have made quite an impact on Ring of Honor in a very short time. Their victims range from Current ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe to Hanson of War Machine and even former ROH World Champion Michael Elgin.

Advancing whatever game plan they have is key! Their history shows a very physical one. But Cole and Bennett are not the only ones willing to get physical, as the lovely Ms Kanellis will gladly get her hands dirty when needed. In Toronto, Canada at All Star Extravaganza 6 the future Mr & Mrs Bennett made an announcement that “Matt” is returning! This appears to be the next step in their game plan, playing mental games with adversaries!!!

Victories are what matter in Ring of Honor! The members of The Kingdom are no strangers to victories, but the game is changing. With the quality of competition rising at a rapid rate, the pressure to stay ahead of the pact is at its peak. Adam Cole has his sights set on regaining the Ring of Honor World Championship, Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis are currently accepting challengers for the “Title of Love”, and the road blocks standing in the way are growing daily. Early speculation among fans was, Could it be former ROH World Tag Team Champion Matt Sydal? Who returns to Ring of Honor on September 27, 2014, coincidentally the same day the “Matt” is promised to be revealed? While intriguing, we believe this is more setting the stage for the return of “The Icon” Matt Hardy!!! The very “Matt” that both Adam Cole & Michael Bennett look up to! The same Matt who showed Cole, Bennett and Kanellis the wicked ways they currently employ!!

Never underestimate the lengths Adam Cole and The Kingdom will go to stay a step ahead of the locker room. Matt Hardy laid the ground work for The Kingdom to grow at the rapid rate that they have as professionals! Matt Hardy decided to step away and let these two men, along with Maria blaze a path of destruction on their own! Matt Hardy showed these two that plotting and playing mind games is vital!!

There is a definite game plan in place for The Kingdom! That game plan includes claiming championship gold in Ring of Honor. Could it be that The Kingdom feels they need the veteran leadership that “The Icon” Matt Hardy provides?
