I'm more or less used to it. I suppose the anticipation makes it more fun. The fanart helps.

Unless they go the German Simpsons route and have them stay in the original language (with subs perhaps).
Then again, they translated the songs on Animaniacs apparently, so I guess a Japanese translation is not out of the question.

Gave the episode a 5/10.
The CMC held the idiot ball all episode long, and this episode has pretty much made me wary of each CMC episode for fear of it being an episode about them getting their cutie marks. Hell, this episode made the majority of the season 2 CMC episodes a trial to get through, as most of them were about the trio trying to get their cutie marks in some way.

Actually, only 2 really were, The Cutie Pox, and Ponyville Confidential Sisterhooves Social was about Sweetie Belle's problems with Rarity Family Appreciation Day was about Apple Bloom's fear of being embarrassed by Granny Smith Hearts and Hooves day was about them trying to get Cheerilee and Big Macintosh together. I'd say the cutie mark thing was in full form in season 3 more than it did in season 2

Also, everyone trying to defend the idiot ball holding by the CMC in this episode because they were kids. Honestly....I don't buy that. Why? Because the Mane 6 were kids when they got their cutie marks. And they kind of realized their talents pretty quickly. So the CMC were being idiots.

]I thought Sweetie Belle did her horrible cooking in Sisterhooves Social because she tried to get a cooking cutie mark? That was never the real reason though, as the real reason she made breakfast was to surprise Rarity. Her mom said she wouldn't be surprised if she got her cutie mark in cooking from the lessons she was giving, and that was the last mention of cutie marks at all in the episode.

Wasn't it Sweetie Belle's mother that said with her giving Sweetie lessons in cooking, she wouldn't be surprised if SB got a fancy cooking cutie mark in no time?
I don't think Sweetie was aiming for a cooking cutie mark there.

My issue is that I hated that they spoiled any mystery to their talents so soon with no clear reward for it to come any soon. A couple seasons down the line, fine. But not on their third episode together.

Delayed Wavelength, MD?
Also, if that's an example of Rarity and Sweetie's mom's cooking...no wonder Rarity moved out. ^_-

Because the Mane 6 were kids when they got their cutie marks. And they kind of realized their talents pretty quickly. So the CMC were being idiots. Well all we saw with the mane 6 was when they actually got their cutie marks. For all we know, some of them could have gone through the same trials and errors as the CMC did growing up. Applejack even said that she was the last in her class to get one. Anyway, after spending quite a bit of time with my family and friends' kids lately, I can agree that sometimes they need things directly spelled out for them, as they're sometimes oblivious to obvious hints. As for the episode itself, it actually got better upon rewatching. The cutie mark montage is definitely one of the best ones of the entire series. And I couldn't help but laugh at how unintentionally bad their entire performance was. I actually enjoyed the episode a lot more than I did the first time. 9/10

Looking at the poll, is this the first episode where we got almost every number available?
