I kinda miss the guy. He had a really unique ring style that I thought would take him all the way to the main event eventually. I'm especially perplexed about the rumored reason for his release; that Vince thought he was a wimp for not getting in Douchetista's face over Melina. If he were to return I think a feud with his old sparring partner CM Punk would be a natural fit, as would a return feud with his old partner The Miz. I could also perhaps envision a storyline with Ziggler.

He wasn't released, he chose not to renew his contract.
According to his appearance on Art Of Wrestling he left to give his body some rest. And to do some improv and acting in order to tighten up his mic skills (hopefully it worked but it sounded pretty spacey on AoW still) and said he'd return in early summer I think? Probably working on selling his fitness thing right now.

Comeback to what? To compete for Kofi's spot as high mid-card enhancement talent? WWE had numerous times where they could've pulled the trigger on the guy only to pass every single time. I hope he finds success outside of wrestling and never looks back. I say this as a fan of his.

I heard too that he was looking at a late summer return. I'd like to see him back, I miss him.

I'd mark out because Morrison is one of my favorite wrestlers over the past 5-6 years. I'd really like to see him back. Morrison/Ziggler would never get old.

I liked Morrison, but I'm ok with him not coming back. Just another midcarder having the same matches with the same other midcarders.

Honestly an In Crowd reunion and another run with the tag belts could be fun; that pairing was when I enjoyed both guys the most.

He's out there on the indies now (in fact, he's facing Kevin Steen on a free iPPV that 2CW is putting on this weekend) but his main focus is his version of an Insanity/P90X style workout DVD series, which just launched the other day

I like Morrison, the Dirt Sheet is seriously one of the best things to happen anywhere.
My only problem with him was that godawful Parkour gimmick that he had going for a while, and how some of his flashier moves looked seriously weak. but other than that he was a solid addition to the mid card.

I could also perhaps envision a storyline with Ziggler. This rumor is a total fabrication. Not only is it not true, but the reason he left was for reasons of physical health. I can't say that I really miss him. He used to be a really talented wrestler, had a huge moveset and could wrestle a great match with anyone, but more and more as his career went on he transitioned into doing almost nothing but high spots. Which baffles me because they were never his strong point as a wrestler. Even when he was roided up, he was superior as a mat worker and coordinating long matches with other guys.

If John Morrison returned, I have no doubts that they'd immediately team him up with Miz for a babyface reunion of the In Crowd, probably have them win the tag titles ASAP, have JoMo Ricky Morton it up to try to get some more face heat for Miz, let Miz get all the wins for the team while Morrison takes all the pinfall losses. After a year or two, they'll eventually break up so that Miz can get another failed push up the card. If Miz goes heel, he'll kick it off by annihilating Morrison cleanly in a singles feud. If he stays face, they'll just stop interacting, because even WWE aren't stupid enough to think Miz would be cheered over a heel-turned Morrison. Regardless, JoMo will go back to being aimless midcard talent enhancement until he probably leaves again the next time his contract runs out.

He's really in the Shelton Benjamin bracket of people who I'd like to see return but ultimately I know they'd never progress further than they already did.
So I hope his workout thing is a huge success and he can just make the odd appearance here and there.

If he comes back, he needs dump the parkour gimmick. It's just stupid. He also needs a new finishing move. The one he had before didn't even look like it connected, and it was too elaborate. As for his mic skills, half of it he can work on and improve. The other half depends on WWE. If they don't give a wrestler any good material, he's bound to struggle regardless of how good a speaker he is.

I always loved that slo-mo entrance that he did. It really made him look like a star.
