My Name Is Earl ended on a cliffhanger.

he also says Angel only lasted a few seasons (I think 5) before it was cancelled. But she says they did manage to rush an ending episode out. Not just any ending episode, probably my favorite series finale ever. I'd rank it in the top 5 episodes of Angel, it was a perfect ending. really? I never watched, but I do remember my girlfriend being pissed about it. Something about it fading to black right before the big fight and you're left wondering if they lived. But I did get her a few of the comics that came out afterwards and she said they continue where the show left off.

ALF... which has one of the most depressing series endings ever... with the FBI capturing him... and as the show stated if they ever captured him they would kill an dissect him... yeah...
Though it WAS originally meant to be a cliffhanger but after cancellation they removed the to be continued so the show officially ended on that note.

King Of the Hill, Green lantern TAS, Young Justice I think Young Justice actually ended with an ill-fated setup for the next season that would never end up materializing. (Superhero cartoons have a bad case of this, incidentally.)

As someone who watched the one and only season of No Ordinary Family, I was very satisfied with the season/series finale.

I may be wrong, but I have a faint memory of an ALF christmas special after the show ended where he gets away from the FBI.

I remembered seeing bits and pieces at one time but by that point I'd only seen a lot of repeat episodes of the first season when I was young. Still it was nice that there was a conclusion.

(Superhero cartoons have a bad case of this, incidentally.) Yeah, it ended with G. Gordon Godfrey and Vandal Savage meeting up with Darkseid. yep, that's the one. I remember being excited about it and going to a friend's house to watch it. Yeah but Project ALF came out like 7 years after the fact.

Just finished watching Monk on Netflix for the first time ever and it last 8 seasons but the ending to it worked perfectly for the entire series, everything tied together nicely and they had a montage at the end that made you so sad it was ending but happy you had closure.

GI Joe Renegades left little room for interpretation or doubts as to what happened in it's final episode.
Which was nice of them. It's about the only cancelled show I've loved that had a decent end.

Both Millennium and The Lone Gunmen had proper endings, to varying degrees of success, by virtue of getting to wrap things up on The X-Files.

are you asking for shows that ran only 2 seasons but still got a good ending? Pretty much, yes. Basically I'm trying to avoid what Alphas fans are going through right about now. Off topic, but where is your avatar from? It's hilarious.

I didn't see it until years later, so I was pretty surprised that the original '87 TMNT series tacked on a sort of "finale" scene with Splinter saying that he was no longer the Turtles' sensei because they were now equals.

One example I can think of is Birds of Prey, despite being cancelled after 13 episodes, got a decent wrap-up episode that worked well enough for the very short series. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Harley Quinn finally discovers that Helena is Huntress (although how hard could that have been, considering she doesn't wear a mask). After Harley is busted trying to take over New Gotham, Alfred is seen on the phone talking to Bruce Wayne (throughout the series, they never mentioned if he was alive or dead, just that he had disappeared). He tells Bruce that he would be proud of his daughter, Helena.

The Angel finale was so good it kinda made-up for Buffy's meh finish.
