I have a rather unpopular opinion. I don't think that Rob Terry or Velvet Sky are really THAT bad. They are both good in their roles even if they are average wrestlers. I know neither of them are rookies but I guess I don't know what constitues a horrible wrestler compared to other fans. To me a horrible wrestler doesn't have to be terribly limited in the ring because there are wrestlers like Drew McIntyre who don't have anywhere near the number of moves as AJ Styles but are good in the ring. To me a horrible wrestler would be an unsafe worker who is incompetent and looks lost in the ring, though I cannot think of any one in TNA especially who is really that bad. She is not talented like Mickie James, but Velvet is competent enough. I don't cringe during her matches or Rob Terry's matches. By the way, who in TNA would you say is or was a bad wrestler according to my definition of a bad wrestler and in your opinion, what does constitute a bad wrestler?

I haven't watched Terry's matches in a long while, but I agree about Velvet. She's solid in the ring, not liability, can sell, got her pacing down, etc. As far as the worst female wrestlers, I seen a lot of WSU wrestlers that make her look like Steamboat.

They're both good. People just don't generally like Terry because he's a power wrestlers and doesn't really do anything in terms of high flying or mat work.

Rob Terry is very awkward in the ring. After all the years he spent training(FCW,OVW) and wrestling, he still moves like a greenhorn. He works hard in the ring but sometimes that's not enough. Velvet has been involved in the wrestling business for quite a while. She is a seasoned vet. But she should thank WWE for keeping Rosa Mendes employed because she's only the 2nd worst female wrestler in a national promotion with her still around. TNA pushes her way beyond what she's able to do. Again, one of the biggest problems with the Knockouts is once the match goes the 5 minutes mark, it starts to go off a cliff.

I like both. Neither bring much to the table. but they're not horrific in the ring. Actually, I hate Bigger Rob for turning on Big Rob.

Rob Terry is improving at long last, he's developing chsrisma, but he's still a shade robotic in the ring, move, grunt, move with little fluidity and I'm not entirely sure he can wrestle an entertaining match where he's not the dominating powerhouse stomping a weasel.
Velvet Sky isn't awful, but I wish I could see what TNA and the live audiences see in her. She's okay but seems really forced and awkward as a face, I think Taryn Terrell manages to come off as more likeable than she does, and that's saying something.

I don't think Velvet's very good in the ring (she's probably a little better than Kelly Kelly), but she's one of my favorite female wrestlers.

Velvet can't really sell though, she was suppose to have a knee injury and didn't really sell it that well. Terry has such an awkward looking finisher but finally is getting some personality in the ring instead of generic power guy 10000.

Rob Terry is okay in short bursts and was at least fun when he was with Robbie E. Velvet is just not good and I honestly cannot figure out why TNA pushes her so hard.

Rob Terry is like "The Groundhogs Days" of TNA. Dixie or Hogan sees him and his physique, thinks he'll be a star, sends him out, he gets no reaction, this goes on for a couple of months before it finally dawns on them he isn't over, his push ends and we don't see him for a few months until it starts all over again, when Hogan or Dixie see him again.

Kris Lewie(SP?) is the worst wrestler, I've ever seen on TV, period. He just looks super awkward in the ring.

One of Velvet's worst weaknesses is that she can't really take moves that require her to do any lifting ( Rana's, Gail's octupus submission, etc). Which is pathetic as even most model turned wrestler Divas not named Rosa can do that. I like a lot of power wrestlers, I don't like Rob Terry because he's uninteresting. Plus he had one of the worst matches I have ever seen, with Jeff Hardy. As for Velvet, she's not very good but you can tell she wants to be, so I don't dislike her as much as most. |

I like Bigger Rob. The guy might not be an Austin Aries in the ring, but he's got the size and can work a passable match. There's a place for that type of wrestler on a roster...
As for Velvet, she's not dreadful, she's just so-so. She got slightly better than a few years ago, when she was super awkward in the ring, and couldn't string together more than two moves before hesitating, but she's still only so-so. Which is kind of a drag whenever she gets pushed as the face of the Knockouts division, and/or the champ.

The thing is that Rob needs to stop doing that growling face. It doesn't make him look tough, it makes me laugh at his awkward face. his whole physical mannerisms just look embarassing.
He'd work better if he was quieter and got rid of that hair cut.
