Even Animal Planet has succumbed to this. Now a lot of their shows are still connected to animals in some way. Even Tanked is sorta because fish live in the aquariums they built. Then there's stuff like Finding Bigfoot or I Shouldn't Be Alive. Even their tagline is dumb. "Surprisingly Human."

I read this as the Disney channel and thought they've been consistent with meh tween stuff and like one good cartoon series running at a time.

1.5 million viewers now counts as low ratings?
I still don't think it was a cooincidence it was announced as canceled in the wake of some nuts' rampages.
It's like when Cartoon Natwork used 9/11 as an excuse to cancel Mobile Suit Gundam on Toonami back in 01' when it was also suffering from Low ratings. It just makes me wonder what the real motives were.

History did turn to junk but thankfully all the good stuff moved to H2 (former History International). The Ultimate Mythbuster episode runs on Discovery Science, along with many other episodes from the first few seasons. Wouldn't mind a newer version that includes Tory, Grant and Kari though. Maybe two teams like in the MacGyver show. Really anything that doesn't end with them blowing shit up. Yeah,I like H2. They will still show the odd show that doesn't seem to belong at times but for the most part,it's what History Channel used to be. Even though I will admit to watching American Pickers sometimes when I can't find anything else on. |

Well... at least until this season where they added a ton of bullshit drama pauses. I like the pit bull-focused shows like Pit Boss and Pit Bulls and Parolees. I have a soft spot for bully breeds. I also like shows like Bad Dog, My Cat From Hell, and Dogs/Cats 101. |

They haven't called themselves The Learning Channel in years. But almost every channel has succumb to Channel Rot. Another reason I have given up on TV. History Channel is another. While Pawn Stars has SOME good information in it, a lot of the other shows are just awful mindless junk. Like I said CHannel Rot. Most networks suffer from it now. |
