Well, he's not on NXT. The releases were centered around developmental performers.
I honestly doubt the guy would survive a main roster sweep at this point - he's barely even on Superstars. If I'm right, he was barely on SMS.

Surely this means its time for that JTG world title push, probably building up for Cena vs JTG at summerslam

The question of why JTG (and to much greater extent Curt Hawkins) is still employed is beyond all understanding

The question of why JTG (and to much greater extent Curt Hawkins) is still employed is beyond all understanding They need jobbers. He barely gets used though. Since the start of the year he's only had five TV matches, all of which were on Superstars which nobody watches. If they wanted to keep jobbers around, maybe they should use them more often. Boggles the mind when the WWE is constantly trying to cut costs and yet people like JTG, Ezekiel Jackson and Mason Ryan are still employed.

I don't mind the big roster, I just don't understand why it has be the same guys year after year. There's so little turnover. You can always bring these guys back. Same with the midcarders. I don't need to see Kofi Kingston on TV every week for 8 years. There's so little competition in the wrestling landscape. They don't need to hoard guys.

It seems like 20. He'd be a much more compelling character if we didn't have to see him every week, if there were maybe a couple of lengthy Japan runs in there. This used to be a big philosophy in wrestling booking, you'd never let a guy burn out in your promotion, he'd be around maybe a year, and then he'd move on, and then maybe he'd come back later. And that was when you had actual competition in the wrestling industry, and you were never sure if a guy would ever actually come back. What has the WWE gained by holding onto JTG all these years, instead of using 6-8 different guys in the JTG role? Are they that scared of JTG leading a new boom period in TNA or something? I'm afraid this is going to get even worse with all the money they're putting into developmental. After they train a guy for years, they're going to be even more reluctant to cut them loose. And all these guys will have the same trainer and the same styles. And we'll watch them for years, and years, and years, doing the same matches over and over again.
