Hawkeye being absent won't bother me in the slightest. He was the weakest of the group.

Joss also apparently said that the film will have multiple villains, perhaps being "masters" of evil?

Isn't Quicksilver apart of the 'X-Men' canon though?
Do Marvel have the rights to use him in a movie?

Damnit, I hate Saorise Ronan. And Scarlet Witch for that matter, especially in the hands of Whedon.

They better have Carol Danvers in this film.

Joss also apparently said that the film will have multiple villains, perhaps being "masters" of evil? Ugh. I better get Thanos in this movie as the main bad guy. I don't want to wait until 2018 to see him on the big screen. My fear is that the Avengers will fight a couple of minions who, once beaten, say "HE'S COMING TO EARTH TO DESTROY YOU ALL!" or something.

Given that we've already seen Thanos, he's gotta be coming soon.

I'm not really liking the idea of introducing two new team members IN the movie. I just want to get to Thanos wrecking s***. If they did have to replace Hawkeye, I'd say Ms. Marvel or someone else would be the better option.

good luck telling their back story's with no Magneto Wouldn't any cold, distant upbringing that led them to initially use their powers for their own self-interests before choosing to fight for the greater good do? They can still be the same characters without Magneto being their father.

nah they need to get Thanos as the bad guy in the third movie so they can build up the anticipation like crazy... and then reveal it's just John Goodman being hired to act out some goofy space invader. the real bad guy will be the nebish loser corporate head played by Brandon Routh.

Damnit, I hate Saorise Ronan. And Scarlet Witch for that matter, especially in the hands of Whedon. Oh yeah, a female character with reality warping powers in the hands of a guy with a proven track record of trying to create "badass" women to hit or miss results(hell even in the same series. Using Firefly/Serenity as an example, Zoe was a hit for me, River was a miss). What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

They can still be the same characters without Magneto being their father. it's also worth noting that they didn't know he was their father until they'd been in the Avengers for a VERY long time. it's not like Nightcrawler not knowing Mystique was his mother hurt X-men 2. I'm just wondering if they can even use the word "mutant".

I just wish they'd used a more interesting female Avenger because while Natasha's cool and all she really doesn't fit in a big space invasion story very well, and she seemed redundant because they already had Captain America there anyway.

He didn't make it the Black Widow Show, but she held her own surprisingly well considering she was in close combat the entire time.......oh, and made her the one who closed the portal. But yeah overall he didn't go overboard, but he still showed hints of his usual trademark.

She still got very little of the spotlight compared to the rest of the team (well, her and Hawkeye felt about even).

Widow had the third most screen time after Cap and Iron Man, so she got plenty of time and spotlight.
