Lance Stephenson owes David West a steak dinner. Took him off the hook for some careless decisions. To those who love to hate the Miami Heat- don't come crying to me if the Pacers make the NBA Finals an unwatchable mud wrestling match. I mean, let's face it- imagine if it's Pacers/Spurs. Think of the buildup: DUNCAN VS. HIBBERT! BANK SHOT VS. HOOK SHOT! PAUL GEORGE VS. HIS OLD TEAM! If it's Pacers/Grizzlies- first to 85 wins! I'd rather that than watch the SuperHeat moonwalk their way to a title, which is what about 99% of the NBA fans out there saw coming since the season started. How DARE anyone else from the east get to the finals! It's not the Heat's fault that there were only two other teams in the East that weren't garbage. And there's that little tidbit about the 27 game winning streak and the 66-16 record. But no, the Heat being heavy favorites is just completely ridiculous.

I just want to see a series where the officiating won't be so lopsided. Anytime the Heat plays I see they get away with flopping, traveling, and how if anyone breaths on Lebron or Wade they're immediately bailed out by the officials.
So I won't mind an Indiana/Memphis or a San Antonio/Indiana series. At least it'll be different.

Tony Parker showed up to a full restaurant in Memphis last night without a reservation so todays crisis for Spurs fans is "OMG TONY PARKER GOT DENIED SERVICE AT A RESTAURANT IN MEMPHIS!" Sigh.

You know except for game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals this year, where the refs called the phantom foul on Wade with 2 seconds left. As for traveling, everyone gets away with it. I don't even know if that's a rule anymore.

The Pacers mugged the Knicks whenever they played in Indiana during their games with no whistles called on them. Any favorable calls the Heat get is just karma in my eyes.

Fouls called on the Pacers through two games: 53 Fouls called on the Heat through two games: 55
Oh god, the one sided officiating. It's ruining this series!

Bill Simmons seems to be the only national guy who will say out loud that Dwyane has become a pretty dirty player as he has gotten older.

I don't even know if that's a rule anymore. While it's true that a lot of players get away with it. It seems like Lebron and Wade get away with everything. For example, two lesser known players got fined for flopping, Wade and Lebron were flopping all over the place in the series with Chicago and not one fine was levied on them. My views on officiating in general have mellowed somewhat, not completely obviously. However, I just feel that the officiating will be good to decent in the first two games, once Games 3 or 4 roll around and the Heat find themselves in trouble, then the whistles come out and they're let back into the game.

The heavily favored Heat marching to the finals and winning the title is boring, IMO. THAT'S why I'm rooting against them. You clearly missed my point in your heavily condescending reply

Could be famous last words here, but I think Spurs take game 3 tonight. Last year's WCF, game 3 was the turning point and the Spurs couldn't come back. They eased their foot off the gas a little IMO last year, thinking they had it since they were coming off of 20 wins. They won't make the same mistake twice. Timmy is gonna go off tonight, motivated by everything going on in his personal life and coming off of 3 days of rest.

Almost to the end of the first and the Spurs have 9 points.

The Grizzlies should be ashamed of themselves for letting the Spurs come back. They had their foot on their throats.

Do any teams in the league run anything half decent for their final play? It's never even a play. It's always one guy dribbling the clock out and taking something horribly contested.

Man, Memphis really rolled over for this game. It's gonna take a lot for Memphis to endure this.

So how much time off is San Antonio gonna have before Game 1 of the Finals?

So how much time off is San Antonio gonna have before Game 1 of the Finals? Eternity. As badly as San Antonio has taken the Grizzlies apart in this series I don't really see the point in having Game 4. This looks like the dismantling they put on the Clippers last year. Even if the games are close there isn't a question who the better team is.
