I must be weird, or blind or something. Her wrestling to me is not that bad. No worse overall than many other women (and several men) on TV right now.
I think it is her style of wrestling, which is the "diva" style that most people take issues with.
In the past, she was faster and higher impact in the ring. I wonder if she isn't a little banged up or injury shy at this point, considering the number of years she's been around. She has admitted to never working out or going to the gym. If she would just put in a little time she could do a lot more.

Velvet can barely wrestle. But I sure like to watch her try.

Velvet lost all credibility at even pretending to be a wrestler when she came out last night "selling" a knee injury while wearing high heels and a knee brace. That was just so completely absurd that my mind was blown.

That was just so completely absurd that my mind was blown. Seriously. At least semi pretend to care about your "injury". Wrapping an Ace wrap around your knee isn't selling if you are wearing porn star heels. Limp a little when coming down to the ring. Not everyone can be John Cena.

The worst part of it was during her matches when it seemed she completely forgot she was supposed to be injured, and then all of a sudden, she starts limping around. Almost as if someone had to remind her to start limping and to sell it.

I wonder if she isn't a little banged up or injury shy at this point, considering the number of years she's been around. She has admitted to never working out or going to the gym. If she would just put in a little time she could do a lot more. But she's not willing to do that, which, IMO, is a slap in the face of her profession. She literally half-asses her way through work. She doesn't care enough to train. She doesn't care enough to improve acting, which is among the worst not only in pro wrestling, but entertainment in general. She doesn't care enough to take cues on what the f*** to do by watching people that came before her. She just doesn't care. I'd be willing to give her a little bit of a pass if she just showed some type of true passion for what she does. In all my years of watching women wrestle, nobody has frustrated me as much as Velvet has. She HAS the potential. She COULD be something great. She already has the inexplicable connection with the crowd. She COULD be amazing if she would simply PUT IN THE F***ING WORK! Instead, she goes about being the worst type of wrestler that could be employed in a semi-major promotion: she's perfectly content with getting by on her looks and f*** all else. That attitude for somebody getting pushed as strongly as she is drives me nuts. She doesn't work a "diva" style. She works a bad one. WWE divas, when given a respectable amount of time, can get in the ring and not half-ass their way through a horrible match. Even the Bellas have gotten off their asses and put work in from time to time, and while they may not be breaking Meltzer's Star-O-Meter, they are at least doing something to bring somewhat positive attention to the WWE Divas. Velvet does almost nothing for herself and the other Knockouts. Hell, she actually hurts the others by being so unwilling to get better, because whenever they're in the ring with Velvet, everybody's talent goes down a few notches. She could get in there with Dean Malenko and make him look like Man Mountain Rock. Her matches have a stink to them. Somebody with her apparently abysmal work ethic should not be rewarded with the spot in the company she's received. She is the least believable pro wrestler of the modern era. When she's in the ring, she goes out of her way to make sure I don't believe a damn thing she's doing. She doesn't make me believe she's a pro wrestler. All she does is further contribute to the bastardization of what was once a great division. Hell, it can be argued that the instant the KO Division became the Beautiful People Show, it was dead and gone. Velvet is a big reason why. She can improve, and I'm hoping she does, but I'm not holding my breath. Hell, she's got the winning ticket. She gets rewarded for doing less work than average. That's the new American Dream.

I don't know why you guys care so much. She's on for what? 6-10 minutes a week if that? If you hate her so much and she annoys you enough to write paragraphs and paragraphs about how much you hate her maybe it's better to use the Knockouts as a break or let TNA know you don't like her by changing the channel.

If people didn't care, why should they watch Impact? Why should they go to house shows? Spend money on the company? Calling a women wrestling segment a bathroom break and/or kitchen run is more disrespectful than yelling out "show us your tits". And a bad wrestler (and wrestling) can bring a show down.

I voted No, but I know I care because I still watch TNA primarily for the Knockouts (even if the division isn't at all what it once was.) And I'd like to see them put on entertaining matches and not embarrass themselves in the ring, something Velvet seems incapable of doing lately. I couldn't care less how "hot" she is, I would just like to watch a match with her in it and not cringe.

Calling a women wrestling segment a bathroom break and/or kitchen run is more disrespectful than yelling out "show us your tits". No, it's a must to bring about change. It'd be nice if just not reacting would do the trick, but TNA and WWE have started to take silence as consent. Chanting "This match sucks!" or booing the hell out of the untalented babyface they insist on pushing might get something done. Saying nothing at all won't.

She's one of the most over stars on the TNA roster, often getting chants and cheered throughout her matches. Despite her lack of in-ring talent.

I was saying that it's perfectly fine to be openly and loudly negative, and it's the best way to show your displeasure if you want something to change. It's the only way TNA and WWE will stop doing things we don't want them to do.
