Note I'm saying HOW, not WHO (though if you like you can put a who too).
With the more recent Hulk movie, as well as The Avengers, we saw how Marvel Studios went about in putting the green guy on screen in a way that wasn't reminiscent of the old TV series.
But what about his cousin? Let's say Marvel decided in a future Hulk movie to put She-Hulk into the mix as well?
Would you go the same route with her as Hulk, having a mostly CGI female wandering around, or would you have her played by a regular sized woman, and use camera tricks and such ala the Lord of the Rings movies to make her look a lot bigger than she is?
Because I doubt you're going to find a 6'7" to 7' tall woman who can also act well enough to pull off the role.

That She Hulk chyna porno wasn't a terrible portrayal.
Ok, maybe it was.

I would have the script written by Dan Slott and as far VFX goes, have the actress painted green and then digitally enlarged in post. Going full CGI wouldn't be necessary because in She-Hulk form her anatomy is nowhere near disproportional as Bruce Banner's Hulk form. She-Hulk's proportions are more similar to a fitness model, so casting an actress with a athletic body type would be a must.

Probably have to go CGI from the neck down to get both the height as well as the muscularity. She-Hulk better be nice and buff this time around.

The thing about She-Hulk that I like the best is her larger than life personality. I wouldn't have a problem with a mostly CGI She-Hulk if it meant that they hire an actress with the acting chops to pull of a character like her.

I'd definitely use the LOTR trick for She-Hulk. Because she's not as large/unwieldy as the Hulk, and because she's much more human than him in that Hulk mode (he tends to just be in beast mode a lot more often than not these days).
Plus she doesn't seem to turn back into Jen Walters much anymore too. So instead of doing the human-to-CGI transformation for the sake of doing it, she's just in one mode (shot differently) for the entire movie.

I figure just use the actress playing her as the base, and just sort of add the muscles and physique as CGI. But then I wouldn;t make her super huge or anything, just incredibly toned and sexy, with a good definition. As for who would play her, I say film actress Rachel Nichols.

I'd CGI it and probably change her to look a bit more in line with The Hulk. I always thought it was this creepy double-standard about how The Hulk looks like...THE HULK, but She-Hulk looks like a green Wonder Woman.

It is like complaining about that, totally valid. She can still be written as the fun one while looking more like someone you wouldn't want to cross. The way she's drawn and depicted really miss out on the fact she's got "HULK" in her name. I just think it's a strange comic thing on how the first reaction we're supposed to get from She-Hulk is that she's hot.

she's 7 1/2 feet tall and is built like a body-builder. at least that's what she's supposed to look like. some artists screw it up, sure, but she hardly looks like "green Wonder Woman".

I would give it to Jon Favreau, and let him run wild with it. He's proven his skills with the Marvel product, he seems to love playing superhero movies for laughs, and She-Hulk is pretty upbeat and comedy-oriented. Perfect fit IMO.

"Green Wonder Woman" wasn't to be taken literally. I only said that because she doesn't look like a Hulk so much as a green supermodel. The problem is Hulk isn't merely built like a body-builder. Hulk is impossibly huge. Hulk looks bestial more often than not. She-Hulk is usually depicted like a tall, green supermodel who may or may not have a lot of muscle. I could never say that about her male counterpart. I just think it's creepy.

In story, I can think of a good reason why She-Hulk doesn't look as monsterous as Hulk does.
Bruce Banner got the full force of the Gamma Radiation that turned him into the Hulk in the first place. Hence, he gets the whole big of powers and such.
Jennifer Walters, on the other hand, got her powers from a blood transfusion from Banner. She didn't get the full hit, and his blood mixed with hers. So she only got a little bit of the powers. Hence why she's also able to better control her sanity when she's in She-Hulk form than her cousin is.

Here's how you introduce her.
After the credits of, say, Ant Man, have the bad guy's henchman be on trial, we pan over and see Matt Murdock for the prosecution and Jennifer Walters for the defense.
As for the tech, you could easily take a Rachel Nichols, who is appropriate height for Jen Walters and reverse Chris Evans her, make her taller and buffer.

I'd say go the Avatar route, which they partially did for Hulk in The Avengers.

You don't need cgi OR camera tricks. Here's what you do.
Scour the competitions of female bodybuilders. Find one who can speak English well and is charismatic. Not many will qualify, but some will. (That old documentary about female bodybuilding, Pumping Iron 2, is proof enough that they exist.) Hold auditions. Pick the best one and give her acting lessons.
You have your leading lady! No CGI required. (And none wanted. IMO, CGI heroes are unbelievable and unwatchable.)
As for the script, this isn't what you asked, but I am of the vehement opinion that the only way for a She-Hulk movie to be enjoyable is if it uses the John Byrne source material, where things are very gag-oriented and there is a ton of fourth-wall breaking. I want the She-Hulk who argues with the writer and tears through the page.
This would be the greatest comic book film of all time.
