Arguably the biggest return ever to WWE, this moment would put into motion the headlining storylines for the next three Wrestlemanias. They all resolved around this man, The Rock, who made his long awaited return to WWE after seven years away from the business. The return got main stream converge, increased PPV buys and perhaps more importantly a lot of returning fans tuning back in to give WWE another chance. That being said, this moment and return was responsible for an over-booked and disappointing Wrestlemania 27 main event - a bold and questionable one year match build and The Rock stopping CM Punks reign as WWE Champion. ALL that (and much more left out) said... would you go back in time and trade in this moment? Would you remove it from history/remove the after effects? Or did you it make you mark out so much you wouldn't do that to your past self? www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8ejiG5-BtA

Seeing as how I'm indifferent to what happened afterwards (In fact I was relieved when Punk lost the title. He didn't deserve a reign half that long, imo.), then no, I'd never undo it.

What followed was a massive let down but those twenty minutes were the most excited I'd been about WWE in a long time. It was the first RAW I'd caught in months and it was all because I wanted to know who the hell was gonna host WM27. What an epic moment, truly brilliant.
I'm not even a big Rock mark, I always preferred Stone Cold growing up, it was always either one or the other as a kid but I wouldn't trade that moment in, never.

Rock returning was never the problem. The way his return was handled was. Rock is one of my all time favorites. But I have current favorites who I would like to see be given an opportunity to accomplish even a fraction of what Rock has accomplished. So while I would still love Rock's return, I wouldn't want him casting such a huge shadow over the product and every one else's pushes and TV time being booked around him or compromised for him.

I never did care for the Rock. So if he never came back it wouldn't have bothered me any.

No chance in hell.
Rock was my favorite of all time and pretty much made me a fan of wrestling. I was literally waiting 7 years for that moment. The moment my hero and favorite superstar of all time returned to lay the smackdown. One of the things on my list of things to do in life was see The Rock live and I did. Multiple times. He may have stayed a bit too long for some people, but not me. The man may fumble a few words nowadays but he is still The Rock. The most electrifying man in WWE history, "The Peoples Champion".
Something I also believe was wrestling got much more fun for me. I felt like Rock's return, coupled with the CM Punk promo stemming from Rocks return, made every WWE superstar step up their game. Rock came back and the WWE changed, it got better for me. Simply put, The Rock was back...
...FINALLY!!!

Yes I would, Miz wouldn't have fallen so badly, Punk might have main evented wrestlemania, and all those Cena/Rock promos I hated so much would disapear forever, and maybe it would've made storylines better as a way to compensate for no one being a draw, I would without a doubt.

and The Rock stopping CM Punks reign as WWE Champion. I don't think Punk would've got such an extended reign at all if not for the program with Rock.

Firstly, I'd trade nothing back. The Rock is important to wrestling, he's one of the most charismatic, dramatic, and fitting performers of the last 25 years and he's a huge star in his own right outside of wrestling so he has genuine crossover value. His in ring work had suffered (though I think the only BAD match he's had was Rock/Cena 2) but really I think his entire comeback worked ASIDE from the WWE trying to make Rock/Cena 1 seem equal fan support wise, and obviously the horrid Cena win at WM29 where the arena booed him mercilessly as Rock raised his hand. That's not Rock or Cena's problem though, just awful writing & planning. and The Rock stopping CM Punks reign as WWE Champion. I don't think Punk would've got such an extended reign at all if not for the program with Rock. I'm a huge fan of Punk and Rock but I feel rnrk is entirely right here. If anything either Cena or Ryback would have taken the title from him in late 2012 if Rock wasn't a part of the plan.

I just re-watched it and marked out again. However disappointing the results were, this segment is awesome.

I'd happily trade the Rock's entire return for a 15 second Barry Horowitz squash match.

Yes. Never have liked The Rock, never will like The Rock. Him never coming back would have saved me a lot of eye-rolling and boredom.

Yeah, and then the shield wouldn't have debuted because they wouldn't need to come up with new ways of keeping the title on punk.

No. This moment actually got one of my RL friends interested in wrestling again, and we got to watch Mania 27 and 29 together.
Two of the more underwhelming Mania cards of all time, but I got to have a lot more fun watching them that I would have on the board bitching about stupid countout finishes and Rock's lack of cardio.

I'm a Rock fan, so no.
Plus, as said above, you could make a very strong case for Punks 343 reign being because of The Rock.

Hard to say. This segment is just magic for me, the crowd just collectively loses their shit.
But I got this for free. I paid for WM 27 and it was dogshit. Had he not come back, he wouldnt have done that stupid promo where he got the entire Georgia Dome to suck imaginary penises and the main event wouldnt have been the drizzling shits. So ill say yeah.
