None on the list, but had the Goldberg ringmaster toy. I thought these might make it on the list, I had this particular set....

It seems like WCW held the crown as far as "How much what the f***ery can we fit into one figure?" goes. They weren't terrible figures but they were really incompatible with the WWF figures and had some bizarre accessories. I remember having a Goldberg that had an arm you could pull down and it was spring loaded to pop back up like a weird ass punch. He came with a locker that collapsed upon being hit with said weird ass punch.

The soft locker that collapsed was a godlike accessory but I never knew how to use his "weird ass punch" so I just threw other figures through it

Hell, from WCW figures alone I was able to set up a locker room area and several other venues for my figures to do battle. Easily the weirdest of all WCW accessories was the Rey Mysterio that came with the Giant figure that did a chokeslam. I can't recall exactly if you hit a switch or compressed the legs but when you did, the Giant closed his gigantic hand around Rey's neck and lifted him. Normal enough right? Well it gets freaky as shit when you consider that Rey's neck extended to accommodate the Giant's hand. I just can't understand the idea of an active wrestler being an accessory for another guy's figure. This is just a side-note but I've been considering the idea of just doing a random themed wrestling podcast to partner with another show I'm launching soon and I would goddamn love to an episode where I talk about wrestling figures with FANs.

I thought those accessories were pretty neat too. I was in my late teens during the WCW heyday, but if I was younger at the time I would have really liked those toys with the extra stuff they came with. When I played with figures in the 80s the best I could do was sub in ninja turtle weapons which the figures couldn't even hold since they were just solid fists. I didn't have too many wrestling figures so it was often necessary to have Macho Man vs Splinter main events to pad the card.

The DX Wiseguyz set makes much more sense in context when you realise that they were based on an old WWF Magazine cover shoot. If they were gonna include DX they may as well have thrown in the black and white Undertaker from 2003.

I have Rodman MOC. The figure is tall as shit, but it's a pretty cool one to have. Interesting list (having it so STOMP heavy is hilarious - aside from Pillman's WWF debut figure, most of those were awful). Though it is missing one of the worst figures ever made: Not a bootleg, by the way. This was an exclusive at Toys R Us in 2009 commemorating Wrestlemania 25. It's a spitting image of Shawn Michaels the time he dressed up as Lance Storm circa 1998.

They need more figures based on covers or PPV posters. Who wouldn't want a CM Punk figure that's inspired by the Hell in a Cell 2012 poster?

I'd love to meet the person who came up with idea for those Maximum Sweat action figures, assuming he's still alive, because I'm sure he must have been on massive amounts of drugs at the time. Supposedly the original plan was to use blood and have it come out certain areas (presumably head, arms, chest) but it was deemed too gruesome.

I remember a minor controversy over the bret figure since he was wearing a trenchcoat and carrying a gun, and this came out a few months after Columbine. I have one of these, he also wears pinstripe tights I think. I also have some WCW Smash 'N Slam figures, that had actions that involved squeezing their legs together to make them happen. The problem was the joints weren't particularly strong, so using the action caused one leg to come off. As frustrating that was, you can't deny the comedy value of a Kevin Nash action figure whose leg keeps coming off. As far as WWF/E Jakks figures go, there were these sets themed around particular matches or events like Inferno Match or Buried Alive, but with props and scenery to go with them as you can see in the image below. They all had miniature wrestlers bundled with them, and I seem to remember there being a Rock figure whose shirt inexplicably read "Know Your Road".

I remember the WWE also had to remove the "Al Snow with Head" toys because it looked like the toy came with a severed head to those who didn't know Al's character.
