Couldn't see Ryder leaving WWE for TNA although it'd be sweet.

I don't think TNA needs Ryder. That's not to say he isn't a good worker but I just don't see him fitting in. Personally the only use for him would be as a team mate or rival of Robbie E and it's not needed right now to be honest. If they change him completely though i.e New name, new gimmick, new look? I think he could go far with TNA.

That really must annoy the people who beat him in that online poll that he's getting a televised GutCheck so soon after that finished.

That really must annoy the people who beat him in that online poll that he's getting a televised GutCheck so soon after that finished. It pays to know someone of some wrestling fame. Big O still got a lot of training to do before he's passable. For someone who has only been wrestling for a year, he's not bad. Just not ready for the spotlight. But since he's friends with Ryder, jacked, and got regrettable tattoos; he stands a chance. But I would bet money on Howe winning the contract since he's teaming with Spud in OVW already.

It helps to be the only wrestler in the top 6 near the Impact taping. Bones is in Germany, Gill & Shanna are in Europe, Dab Savage is in Georgia. Big O was in Long Island, which was the closest (with Facade being in Pittsburgh, but i'm guessing they're gonna bring Facade in for Dest-X)... and with his recent tryout for WWE, he's a somewhat hotter commodity than the others, anyway.

I think he could go far with TNA. I disagree. Ryder has a following (although it's shrunk in the past year) and knows how to market himself and get himself over even when management gives him nothing to work with. He never would have gotten a single piece of merch thru WWE, let alone the extremely brief push he got, if not for the hard work he put in outside the ring building a connection to the fanbase. If we walked away from WWE, he once again would have something to prove and maybe light a fire underneath him as he seems to have gotten fairly jaded and defeatist since WWE pulled the rug out from under him. As much as people hate "former WWE guy who comes into TNA burying his old employer," there's no doubt in my mind that Zack could make it work.

I guess being best friends with another wrestler prior to the start of his career probably helps.

Big O had a rough go tonight. He wasn't as lame as the guitar solo guy, but he was worse in the ring. Sloppy and uncoordinated.

Big O needs to work on selling, big time. But I thought he only looked marginally worse than Skidmarks tonight, which isn't bad considering the experience edge that Howe has.

That match wasn't good. Both guys looked lost most of the time.

I did not realize that Howe was Skidmarks. That was one of the most punchable characters I'v seen in a long time, and he was supposed to be a bitchin' cool babyface. I don't see how wanking around like a teenager at Guitar Center is supposed to get a crowd to cheer him.
I have to think Big O was the reason they both looked so bad last night though. He almost dropped Skidmarks on his head 3 times just doing simple slams, just looked like a total klutz. He was too far away from the ropes for a cross body and almost got his knees blown out. It was probably the worst Gutcheck match yet.

I want the judges to come out next week and say that they both sucked. Van Hammer II is there because he couldn't make it in music(and after seeing his guitar wankery I can see why), and Big O is there because he's Ryder's friend(if you're going to leech off of someone else's fame make sure that it's someone more famous than Zack Ryder)
Worst gut check yet, so of course TNA will sign them both.

Boy god that match wasn't good. I had high hopes since it was Big O and the dude from Tough Enough, but it was pretty damn bad.
Obviously it wasn't going to be that good in the first place, but it was worse than I expected.

It was probably the worst Gutcheck match yet. You've clearly forgotten Kris Lewie.

Kris Lewie and that awful match Brisco and Garett put on one week for GutCheck were easily worse than this one. This one wasn't anything special, but wasn't too bad.
