For 37 minutes, this was a wonderful college basketball game.
Then the refs showed up.
Incompetent. BOTH WAYS.
Seriously, that shot clock violation that never was and should have been. The dreaded 2 MINUTES ONLY reared its ugly head at the worst of times.
Will the NCAA have the stones to change this rule? They better, because I fear that should Wisconsin win Monday, that could be attached to them ala the Brett Hull crease goal/no goal debacle at the 1999 Stanley Cup Finals.

Wisconsin was the only hope the Championship Game had of having any sort of likable team. Yay!
And I say that as somebody that hates Wisconsin.

Never got the "unlikable" rap on Kentucky. Sure you may hate Cal (which I don't agree with), but the players on the roster all seem like cool dudes to me

Calipari has his issues, but a lot of the same people who hate him:
1. Put a certain coach in Durham who allowed a guy he knew was accused of sexual assault stay on his team on a pedestal.
2. Admire a certain coach in Chapel Hill who sat by while his program allowed the university to enroll his players in fake classes
3. Give John Wooden a pass for the same things Calipari has done because of his legend status.
That's not even getting into Jim Boeheim and a certain assistant coach...

And to think, these Badgers just 2 years ago couldn't beat Ole Miss.
OTOH, that was a different Badgers offense.
Kaminsky only scored TWO points that game.
From 2002-2013, Wisconsin- with a different type of offense that made for ugly games- made 1 Elite Eight under Bo Ryan.
Since he changed things up- 2 FF's.

They still run the swing sometimes. They just have better talent then they've ever had.

4.4 percent of the 11.57 million ESPN Tournament Challenge brackets correctly picked the national championship participants 4.4 percent only picked two number one seeds? That seems crazy, I guess most people just picked Kentucky.
