I basically only have whatever is posted in this thread to keep me up to date with this stuff and I'm pretty confused. Can someone help me with the major developments. I've seen "more wrestlers joining Icarus" mention, but the Ashes videos have so far Chucky T and Donst turning him down. And I've no clue what "what happened in New England" that Icarus mentions is referring to. A little mini summary of the last couple month's worth of developments would help me out.

New England is where Dr. Cube and his minions shut down one of the Wrestling Is companies by stealing their title belt and their money.

Here's the rundown.

-Icarus has been running off these rallies for CHIKARA. Every month-month to a half really. Next one is scheduled for this Saturday in Philly. A few wrestlers have joined, but according to the Ashes videos, both Chuck Taylor and Tim Donst have rejected him. 3.0 is looking for Archibald Peck as well.
-Wrestling Is Intense was destroyed by the GEKIDO.
-Dr. Cube and his Kaiju minions destroyed Wrestling is Awesome
-Sinn Bodhi made a blog post by perhaps saying he was coming after Wrestling is Art.
-Non-CHIKARA related, but Ultramantis Black is now signed to Relapse Records. That's just cool and everybody needs to know about that.
-Obviously now, Wink is completely broken down.

Also on CHIKARA's message board there's a fan theory that Mantis is behind all of it, with some really reaching pieces of evidence to try to confirm it.

One such piece is a lyric Mantis paraphrased from an old punk band in a tweet that some mistook as a threat on one of the Wrestling Is companies.

Yeah, I got a chuckle out of that. Especially because it was thanks to his ignorance on them that led to Ophidian developing the complex that led him to his rudo transformation in the first place.

Well, had the season continued, the season finale would be about a week from now, leaving us with the rest of November, plus December and January to speculate and such. But, I do have a feeling something big will happen on National Pro Wrestling Day on February 1st, 2014, the usual month the next season would start.

So, I'll make everyone here a deal: If something does not happen on the NPWD2014, regarding the revival of CHIKARA, I'll admit I'm Vin Gerard.

I just can't think of any other idea that would be epic enough. This angle almost requires that it be led by someone who was with Chikara from the start.

Honestly, I think the idea of it being Mantis behind it all strips away so many of the layers to the story and makes the big bad diminished severely. Simply because as is, Conrad & co. feel so large, so massive, so unstoppable, they're a juggernaut corporation. It's actually an intimidating challenge that seems hopeless to try to fight.

Whereas UltraMantis, as much as I love the guy and as much as I'd love him to finally get some just dues as a top player in CHIKARA, would not give the same feeling. Partially because he's been so easily thwarted so many times, and partially because it puts a face to the threat to really focus on, it humanizes it.

I think with how smartly and ambitiously this story has played out so far, Quack wouldn't reduce it to a more basic form of story telling now, when it feels we're so close to a climax.

It'd be like going to an art house film that shits the bed with a quarter of the movie left.

I wasn't aware that there were actually different Young Lions Cups. I assumed since it was defended throughout the year that it was only one physical cup.

I know of two, one Donst had and one Hallowicked had they feuded over them because there was a mix up who got who's cup

Yeah, every year each tournament got a different cup, with the little plate on the front saying that the holder was the Young Lions Cup Champion of Tournament [Insert Number Here].
