Today is the 2nd anniversary of the second Money in the Bank PPV.
Of course, headlined by Punk/Cena but also some other memorable matches like the Smackdown MITB, Christian/Orton (with that AMAZING ending) and the RAW MITB which would end up backfiring when Del Rio went to try and cash it in at the end of the show.
Still one of the other PPVs I don't regret staying up for. Fun show from top to bottom.

It was actually the second Money In The Bank PPV, the first was in 2010 where the briefcases were won by Kane and The Miz.

I had forgotten that Alberto was ever involved with the WWE title.
As for MITB 11, that was an awesome show.

Great PPV. The Smackdown MITB Ladder Match was awesome that year, totally overshadowed the RAW one. Great match quality throughout the night (awful Diva's match aside) and it ended with my favourite match of 2011. Excellent show. I stayed up for it too, and I have zero regrets.

Was a pretty good show, though I do think 2010's show had much better Money in the Bank matches than the 2011 one did. I also think the main event is pretty damn overrated; solid match, though it does drag a bit and I think the middle part of it's pretty boring, but I don't at all see it as an all-time classic.

One of the greatest PPV's I've ever seen. I don't remember being so excited to see a main event before or since. The atmosphere was amazing. I was buzzing for hours after watching the show.
Also a little bit overlooked but that pop for Bryan in the MITB match once everybody had been eliminated and Bryan was left alone on top of the ladder was HUGE.

The best PPV of 2011 without question. Just a major big fight feel all the way through. So many favourite moments.
-Crowd loving Bryan's win -Orton going crazy on Christian -Evan Bourne's SSP off the ladder and then the sick laughing while he is on the ground -Every single thing about Punk vs Cena. Just wrestling at its absolute best.

Punk blowing that kiss to Vince is one of the very few utterly perfect moments in WWE history. Brings a tear to my eye every time I see it.

CM Punk chants were happening all night, but the second the hype video ends they really ramp up. When that first chord of his theme starts.... INCREDIBLE!

INCREDIBLE! And that tidal wave of boos for Cena. I'm watching it again now and I'm getting excited. The kids did get a small "lets go Cena" chant rolling, but they were quickly drowned out. I wish people would have chanted "CM Punk" in retaliation, rather than "Cena Sucks". It fits perfectly, & would have been much more apt. Granted it's probably nitpicking, but that's the one little problem I've always had with that match.

I was there live. Unbelievable. Best show I've ever been too (I was also at Jericho's debut show, but I was only 11).
MitB 2011 is one of the best non big four PPV's ever.

Oh if only I could like this post more than once. It was a really good pay-per-view other than the main event and a few other matches that I can't remember. I thought the Raw MITB match was better than the Smackdown one. In fact, I think the WWE title MITBs have always been the better of the two ladder matches each year.

It was an amazing show. The first episode of Season 4 of Breaking Bad was on (which I love), and I actually left the channel on the Punk/Cena match. Of course I just watched the repeat that was on after MITB went off the air, but it still speaks alot considering I always want to watch a Breaking Bad episode the first time it airs.
One thing I love that most people overlook was Michael Cole when Punk won. Right when the ref counts three, he says "Oh my God". Not in some over the top, face Cole way. Just a "...I can't believe its happening." tone to his voice. That was great...

I was marking throughout Punk/Cena, I remember it vividly. The whole thing was so well done, on that night.

And that tidal wave of boos for Cena. I'm watching it again now and I'm getting excited. How can anybody get excited about that? Why does Cena getting booed upset you? He's made it his character at this point. You can't not admit that the best Cena matches are the ones with the split crowds.
