A-Rod: When asked if Dempster should be suspended: "I'm the wrong guy to ask about suspensions. But if he is, I've got a lawyer I can recommend." At least he can laugh about it

Pujols officially done for the season. Why not? The Angels have been done for the season since about May.

You know it's a little late but I heard the Red Sox's radio announcers call A-Rod getting hit the other day. I hate the Yankees, and I think A-Rod deserves to be punished for what he did. I understand part of the issue is that he plays for the Yanks, but those announcers need to shut the f*** up and get off their high horses especially when one of their teams most popular players came off a few years ago looking like a hypocrite by saying anybody who tested positive for steroids shouldn't be allowed to play baseball when HE had tested positive for steroids in the past. But we're not going to call out David Ortiz because he's so likable.
This is where the whole thing bugs the hell out of me. Sure A-Rod deserves to get shit, but I just can't stand the hypocrisy of people in this league.

Sure A-Rod deserves to get shit, but I just can't stand the hypocrisy of people in this league. Everyone in the media is really guilty of this (honestly the New York media's been completely relentless on A-Rod) and even other players. Like Johnny Damon who said that his 2009 World Series win was "tainted" because of A-Rod's incredible ALCS, but I didn't see him mention anything about 2004 where there were at least two PED users in Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz. And I wouldn't be surprised if there were more. That's what drives me nuts about this whole A-Rod thing. Should he be punished? Yes, absolutely. But he should get the same fair treatment as everyone else guilty of PED use. I think he's the target of a witch hunt because of his absurd contract and not being a popular guy. I think the relentlessness of the media and MLB's smear campaign against him has actually had the opposite effect of making the public (or Yankees fans anyway) start to feel sympathetic towards him.

Indians released Dice-K. Remember him? I remember taking some random class on baseball a few years back, and we watched some baseball videos to keep score to. He had this weird warmup where he'd almost be wiggling on the pitchers mound (not the best description, but meh.) and I decided to make a dance out of it to amuse my classmates. I got like 3 people doing it, before I jumped on a chair and did it in some girls face. Got my instructor pretty pissed. Good times.

But you overlook a big difference here: A-Rod not only lied over and over, but from most accounts, he also made sure to throw several guys (including his OWN TEAMMATE) under the bus. Cheating is one thing, being a complete douche about it AND being a rat is another. The latter is where most of the venom comes from

There's a tie atop the AL East. The Rays won earlier, and the Red Sox lost. How did the Red Sox lose? A walk-off walk.

I wouldn't be surprised if MLB "leaked" that out and it was a completely manufactured lie to make A-Rod look bad to the MLBPA.

I want the Rays to go away forever.
The last thing we need are their so-called fans no-showing another October.
It doesn't matter how many games they win or how many gems the team comes up with- their fans don't deserve the product because they don't give a damn.
2011, they didn't sellout either playoff game after their miracle September Wild Card stretch drive.
If there's any baseball justice, the Rays will miss the playoffs and their so-called fans won't have a game to give us empty seats.
