I'm gonna be moving back to Alberta in a few months, and after that, I might be moving to Liverpool, England, I think I've decided. I went there a few years ago when I had my girlfriend in England, and I really loved it there, and my ex and I are on speaking terms now and everything is pretty positive, plus she's in Uni in Scotland so I don't think she will be that bothered by it, so I'm doing that. Basically, I want more wrestling. I got a fever. And the only perscription is MORE WRESTLING (I'm also sadly moving before the two big ROH shows, a few weeks after actually).
Anyway, I want indy info. Currently, I'm downloading stuff for Shimmer, the women's wrestling company and some NOAH stuff (though that's not really indy I guess), but any other information and websites on other Japanese promotions, British promotions, and any indy promotions in the states. Mostly information on Chikara, PWG, IWA (MS, DS, EC, etc) and CZW. So any hardcore marks for those, tell me the story about them all, sites and other crazy info.

PwG is awesome, I don't know what other info I can give you other than that. You gotta buy their DVDs to see their good stuff. Make sure Excalibur promos are involved, also I believe google video has some of their matches, I know Super Dragon vs Samoa Joe I and II are on there.

This is my best "encyclopedia-like" telling of events. Any name I underline would be a good person to look up.
Chikara is a Philadelphia-based indy fed, run by Mike Quackenbush. The usual roster is graduates from the Chikara/CZW Wrestle Factory (also run by Quackenbush, but trainers include Chris Hero and Lucha sensation Skayde). Chikara regulars include Claudio Castagnoli, Ultramantis Black, Crossbones, Jigsaw, Hallowicked, Retail Dragon, Cloudy and Cheech, Los Ice Creams, Gran Akuma and Icarus (FIST), Eddie Kingston, and Sabian, Larry Sweeney, and others I can't think of right now.
In addition to their own regulars, they also bring in some excellent wrestlers from American and Japanese indies and whatnot. Some notables include Milano Collection AT, Yoshiaki Yago, KUDO, Mickie Knuckles, Super Dragon, Kevin Steen, and again, other people who I either can't think of, or I can picture them but can't think of their names.
Chikara is known for goofy, cartoony, over-the-top characters. All of Chikara's shows are family friendly. Despite the "kid-oriented" nature of Chikara, there is plenty of great wrestling going on. Recommended shows include any of the Ciberneticos, Young Lions Cup tourneys, or Tag World Gran Prixs, as a starting point, at least.

Sweet. Things for the info. I'm surprised this thread was found again, lol. Well, I was looking for something else, and stumbled on this. I figured "a friend in need is a friend indeed" so I threw ya a bone. Cheers.
