Hey is something I having a tough time figuring out: {Spoiler}Spoiler
How did Walt get shot?
I did hear him make a painful sound, but I would think he would be low enough to not get hit. The line of fire was around the bottom of the 2 windows. Granted, Walt was on top of Jesse; there should be at least 2 feet above Walt from the line of fire.

I assumed a ricochet, or the mechanism just went the wrong way at the wrong time and he caught one.

Oh yeah, about an hour before the finale, me and my friend went to the closest convenient store, bought a few blue Jolly Ranchers, and did this: {Spoiler}{Spoiler} We could have done a more, but it's all we could do on such short notice.

I feel really stupid because I had to go online to confirm whether or not Walt actually died. I figured it was meant to be open to interpretation.

Was the Badger and Skinny Pete reveal the best part of the episode for anyone else?

At the end I thought Jesse was going to run Walt over.

I've listened to Baby Blue like thirty times since last night.
The more I think about the finale, the more I love it. I know Walt's plan went a little to smoothly. But when that machine gun went off, and Walt and Jesse killed Jack and Todd. I got off my couch and cheered aloud.
Regarding Skinny Pete and Badger. I wish I hadn't looked at the credits, I saw the actors names and knew they were the "hitmen". Still awesome, though.

Was the Badger and Skinny Pete reveal the best part of the episode for anyone else? It was one of my favorite parts, I marked when I saw them take off their masks. I figured I wouldn't see those two again. My favorite part was at the end when Jesse is taking care of Todd, Walt is just standing there. I thought when Jesse got in the car, it was going to blow up or something. 10/10.

I think Walt's closing moments are him joyously knowing that he's going out on his own terms. Not the cancer, not the nazis, Walt made his last plan and saw it through to the finish. He's always gotten off on power and, being "breaking bad" is primarily a show about pride, he's reveling in (or at least lying to himself to convince himself) that by being in control of his destiny, he's somehow "won." Realize people can have different opinions, but man, I don't see that at all in how Bryan played Walt at the end. From the taking shots at himself and how he's perceived by the public when he confronted his old friends, to him almost in a bittersweet fashion looking over the lab they forced Jesse to cook in. Nothing in his performance gave me the impression that Walter thought he won here. If anything, it seemed to me that he had some level of clarity and awareness of himself at long last. And, he was trying to do as much good as he could before he died after over a year of royally screwing everybody over for the sake of his pride and ego. I think another key element to realizing that is his conversation with his wife. Him admitting finally to her, and to himself, that he did this for him. It may have started out for the family, or he might have thought that was why he wanted to do it initially, but before long it became painfully obvious he was doing it for himself first, the family second. The whole spiel of "I did it for me", to me was the most telling thing. If Walt had this wide eyed realization that he's been selfish and in the wrong this whole time, he would have at least attempted to apologize to his wife in his last conversation with her. "I was good at it. I was alive" doesn't sound like a guy who regrets what he decided to do with his last years of life. He's still awful proud of what he accomplished. I think there's a difference between awareness and remorse. He's aware of his perception, he knows that he's done some reprehensible things, but I don't see him regretting anything. He loves his family, that's unquestionable, and he's sorry that he's leaving them emotionally scarred, but sorry in the sense of if I say something that offends you, and I say "I'm sorry you're offended". He's sorry his family couldn't cope better with the choices he made, not sorry he made those choices. Walter has nothing to gain from working Jesse any longer. I'm not saying that Walt is a cold hearted dude who has no love for anyone, he loves his family, he has a love for Jesse, but not enough that if he were any bit of a threat to his family he wouldn't kill him then and there. Walt wanted Jesse dead at a time where in his mind it made sense, he still had his share of the money that the nazis took, he still thought he could keep his family, he still had reasons to live. Fast forward to the finale, he knew that night was his last night alive, I don't see him letting Jesse live as some kind of peace offering, fence building move from Walt. I think it was convenient that it played out the way it did, but if Walt had any reason to live, if Flynn thought Heisenberg was a badass dude and Skyler needs to lay off because he's doing it for the family, Walt might have shown more vigor. His only business being there that night was to kill the Nazis and die.

Yep, I thought either Jesse was running over Walt or that car was gonna blow up somehow. End it on some really dark humor. I like the one we got better.

I would have liked it if Jesse gets in the car and it wouldn't start and they had to call AAA

Ha, yeah, I totally thought either one was going to happen too. When Jesse ended up not running Walt over, I thought "okay, so the car's gonna blow up then, right?". And speaking of Badger: Shame this didn't end up in the actual series. Breaking Bad could have used some silly Walt/Badger shenanigans.
