I think yes. He has been on fire since coming back and looked really good. Granted, I'm a lifelong RVD fan, but I think he would give a good boost to Smackdown and have some very entertaining championship matches. Plus Alberto Del Rio isn't a very interesting World Heavyweight Champion, where RVD would be.
What do you think? Am I just being too much of an RVD mark, or do you think he would be a good champ?

May as well RVD has been on fire since returning and him against any combination of Orton, Alberto, and Christian would be a good match. Dude is bringing it like it's 2001 or something.

Can't be worse then Del Rio. I agree. And I don't even hate Del Rio, like most people here do. The World Title really means nothing anyway.

If he just runs with that belt as if it's the TV Title in ECW (compete every week for it, not much in terms of storyline points) then I'd be cool with it.
I'm a huge ADR fan but the writing team have sweet FA for him or anyone else, so if they made the title a prestigious belt that is constantly competed for (not just main events, have MEs, midcardes, JTTS, and jobbers face RVD) it'd salvage some meaning from the awful WHC writing.

Sure why not, people seem to like him still.
Anyone can have it really. That belt is as prestigious as a World's Greatest Grandpa mug.

If he had one of these he could get a shot. But I do like Sandow, though. Just put RVD in a triple threat WHC match at Summerslam.

I was hoping that Summerslam would be RVD vs ADR, I wouldn't mind him as world champ.

I like RVD, but I don't know if I'd put the title on him now, at least not for very long, maybe 2 months tops. I'd be too worried about him f***ing up again.

Either put him in the WWE Title scene or give him the IC belt. Let the World Title die. WWE needs to figure out how to get people over without trying to pretend they're main eventers when they're really not.

I'd be all for him getting the world title. He's never held the title before and they could hype that he's been chasing it ever since the belt was invented in 2002. Given his contract I doubt he'll be around long enough to have some epic run with that belt, but he could be a transition champ from Del Rio to Sandow. Let's say RVD has the belt and stays till HIAC. He can retain there but be destroyed and Sandow can cash in. RVD takes time off to heal from the injuries of that match, then he can come back at the Rumble.

Wouldn't hurt. It's not like 2006, where an entire brand was being built around him. Having the B-Title on him would be good, and he's putting on some great matches.

I can't believe I'm going to approve of this because I'm really not an RVD fan, but he's been bringing it more than I thought he would and there isn't really anyone else to go with right now. Plus, he could transition the belt to Sandow.

Why not I guess. What's the worst that can happen? A RVD vs Sandow feud would be different as well.

I want RVD to win the US and IC titles. Then one night, he's uh...zoning out, and thinking about stuff, man. And realizes that the United States is INSIDE of North America, which is only one of the two continents (the other being South America) represented by the Intercontinental title. And he concludes Whoa! The US title is redundant and pointless! And then retires it.

I hate RVD and didn't want him back in WWE. But his work since returning has been so consistently very good and while the irons hot; there's a lot worse ideas out there than sticking the World Title on RVD and letting Sandow cash in for the heat reaction.

Part of me wants it because he's been great since his return, reminding me why teenage me used to be a big fan of his. And, part of me wants it to happen because I feel it would be some level of closure for how he was, wrongfully, jerked around in the early 2000's with that title.
So, yeah, sure. Make him a transitional champion that holds it for, like, three months and then drops it to somebody that'll get a small rub off of beating him that's a fairly young talent in need of main event establishing.
Like, you know, Dolph Ziggler for example.
