who remembers this? A moment where fans, smark and mark alike banned together to encourage cena the character in one of his lowest moments. Has this chant stood the test of time? Will we see a similar moment or have we already, in your opinion? I am not including "fandango". The chant had nothing to do with the storyline or character.

I thought it was overly sentimental when it happened, considering the circumstances. But yeah, if Cena ever gets in really dire circumstances again it would be nice.

I forget the context of that chant, it was during the whole Nexus storyline right? Just after he was forced to join them, yeah. And really, I think that segment in a nutshell is a good example of how thoroughly WWE f***ed that up. Cena was probably at his most over since early 2005 when he was showing vulnerability and put in a hopeless situation, and they just completely threw it aside, had him eventually shrug off Nexus effortlessly, and then the night after TLC he was right back to being booed. Still say they should have gone with Barrett winning the title but managing to fire Cena anyway due to some kind of loophole, then Cena could've had to compete on the next season of NXT to earn a spot in the Rumble and get back on the roster, going through all of the same things Nexus did, then he could've won the Rumble and faced Barrett at Mania. Not sure where you'd have slotted Miz cashing in in that, but there still would've been a few months of Cena as champion to find a place for him to do it.

It was an amazing contrast to show what Cena looks like when the odds are ACTUALLY stacked against him. Lo and behold, massively over. When you book the heel on equal footing, it actually *gasp* makes Cena look sympathetic.
