I'm not a fan of Star Trek, and I've never actually seen the show or a movie. But I can say that these two newest Trek movies have actually had me interested in seeing them based solely on the previews, and that's more than I can say for any of the others.
Which means my opinion doesn't really matter, but Into Darkness looked good from the outside.

Nemesis outranks Insurrection? Yeah. So it seems Trekkies are junkies. I thought Nemesis was better. I'm surprised some people here thought it was the worst, actually.

I'm a Trekkie and I call bullshit on this
- Generations - Nemesis - Final Frontier
are dreadful (I don't mind Insurrection)
While I really liked "Into Darkness" I'd put it at number 7
Awesome 1) Wrath Of Kahn 2) First Contact 3) Voyage Home 4) Undiscovered Country 5) Search For Spock 6) Reboot 7) Into Darkness
OK 8) Insurection
Ugh 9) Motion Picure 10) Nemesis 11) Final Frontier 12) Generations

Into Darkness was actually a pleasant surprise after the tepid 09 film was. How I rank;
1. Wrath of Khan 2. Undiscovered Country 3. Search for Spock 4. Voyage Home 5. First Contact 6. Into Darkness 7. Motion Picture 8. 09 9. Generations 10. Insurrection 11. Final Frontier 12. Nemesis

I've only seen the first 7 films since I'm currently in the middle of watching all of Star Trek in chronological order at the moment. It's going to be hard to beat Generations for me as worst film. I hated almost everything about it. Even Final Frontier was in the territory of so bad that it's good.

I did strongly dislike Into Darkness, but worst Star Trek film? Brother, it has some stiff competition.

I'm the only guy who liked Generations. No, it's not a good movie, but it amused me.

Uhhhh...no. No. No. Insurrection, Nemesis and the Motion Picture were far far far far worse. Somehow VI is better than IV? Huh? That's some more bullshit. And First Contact sucked. My favorite Star Trek by far was IV: The Voyage Home, so the fact that it's not even in the top 3 makes me think people voted hindsighted, since the movie is somewhat dated. It's still awesome though. I'm the only guy who liked Generations. No, it's not a good movie, but it amused me. I liked it too. It had some MASSIVE flaws, but overall, I felt the tone was just fine. People bitch about Kirk and Picard not doing anything significant together, well...IMO, I'm glad they didn't. If you have some massive battle, it really takes away from the dynamic of them just relaxing. I always felt that Star Trek was about diplomacy (duh) more than anything else and just having them interact was enough.

I wouldn't call it the worst but I really didn't enjoy it. Thought it was alright when I first watched it but the more I thought about it the less I liked it... Why is Galaxy Quest on a list of Star Trek films? probably because it's pretty blatantly about Star Trek without the licence... it's also the best Star Trek Movie

I find it hard to believe it's worse than the dreadful po-faced Insurrection and Nemesis, unless they ditched 100% of the sense of fun that the first reboot movie had. I'm surprised that The Voyage Home is so low, too. Voyage Home is still high, it's always one of the top 4, which is stiff competition. Almost everyone puts Wrath of Khan first, then some combination on Undiscovered Country, First Contact and Voyage Home. Personally I'd go Wrath of Khan Undiscovered Country Voyage Home First Contact Into Darkness Search For Spock Star Trek Generations Final Frontier Motion Picture Insurrection I have never seen Nemesis to rank it. The Galaxy Quest thing is a long time joke about it being the best Star Trek movie.

Well Im in the super minority here but I hated the 09 Trek and Darkness was so bad I laughed. Id rather watch any of the next gen stuff and I never thought much of those. People roll their eyes when I tell them how much I loath JJ Abrams and I think to myself wait until they see the new Star Wars he makes.

I can't help but picture a room full of "trekkers" who look and act just like Seth Rogen's character in Fanboys.
