Triple H is now more of an occasional wrestler who really hasn't been competing for the WWE Title in years. Back in the Evolution days, Triple H was the "present" and Orton was the "future". Well now Orton is the "present" and Triple H can proclaim as such if he helps Orton cash in MITB.
Now here is my idea...they form a new Evolution. I know most people here dislike both guys, but I don't think anyone can argue it made stars out of both Orton and Batista which was the goal anyways. Triple H can be the Flair, Orton would be the present. I would pick Ryback to be the muscle as it would help him as a heel and would be easy to turn him back to face when the time is right. As for the "future"...that might be a harder. The only guys I can think of that would probably work are Dolph and maybe Kofi.
They could end feuding with Cena, Bryan, and Punk. Down the road they could feud with a freshly turned babyface Shield.

It makes less sense when you realize they feuded on and off about six years.

It makes less sense when you realize they feuded on and off about six years. Triple H feuded with HBK for forever too, but that doesn't stop him. (The best one of these reasonings was one match where Triple H and Kane tagged together, and I'm pretty sure H brought up Katie Vick)

"Um... yeah... sorry..."

I liked when Edge showed up to talk to Cena during his feud with Lesnar and was referred to on commentary as Cena's good friend. They never looked that friendly to me.

HHH still somehow wins the WWE Title even though he's supposed to be in the Flair role.

WWE just LOVE to reference Evoluton, really. It's like they think they're WWE"s Horsemen.

Well Evolution is a mystery so... Actually I think a new Evolution at least has the potential not to be completely horrible. The original Evolution was a WWE concept so Vince and friends might be more invested in the idea. Plus, it helps that it was in-part modeled after arguably the greatest stable in history, The Four Horsemen. Ryback would be perfect in the Batista role, but Orton's old role as the future is one that is really tricky to fill. Even before you mentioned it Ziggler popped into my mind, but he seems like he's around too long at this point. Or has he been around now as Orton had bee around when he assumed that role and it just feels otherwise? Maybe a NXT guy would have to be brought up as the future. Not Bo Dallas though.

The only NXT guy that I feel could fit the role that is most ready for the main roster is Corey Graves, but I don't think his look could translate well into the Evolution gimmick.

Is his look really that different from Orton's though? The only thing really in common is they both have a lot of tats. Corey's got the Jeff Hardy look to him. He would need a haircut and a wardrobe change. (aka a complete repackaging) When I think of someone taking Orton's old spot in a new Evolution, I'm thinking of someone can look the part (Ziggler) and/or needs something to help get them over the hump (Kofi) that hasn't really been a main eventer yet.

Dean Ambrose is my pick. Shield loses all their belts and he breaks away to join a new group.

The "future" of New Evolution should clearly be Bo Dallas.

Put Reigns in the Batista role. I'd be cool with that. Hell, he does already use a spear and a powerbomb, add a sweet spinebuster and a douchey suit and you're set.
