bit.ly/12glH0TFun Facts: *There were no women's matches held from 2001 to 2006 at the event. *Trish Status has participated in the same number of SummerSlam matches as Jillian Hall. *The Intercontinental Championship has changed hands twice in matches involving women!

I love how badly it falls apart after 1994. Well...until Melina and Alicia Fox pick up the slack again, at least.

You know, people say that the divas division is improving, but when you look at how the division is booked at the big PPV events you can still see how badly it gets treated. The SummerSlam statistics are bad, but the Wrestlemania stats are even worse; - No singles match since 2007
- No title changes since 2006
- Out of the current roster, only Layla and Alicia Fox have competed in a proper match at a Wrestlemania
- The Divas Championship has never been defended at a Wrestlemania

I literally can't find anything about it now (which seems a bit weird seeing as it's the Internet) but I remember Trish vs Lita vs Mickie being briefly advertised for Summerslam 2006 on WWE.com.
I thought I imagined it for a while until I saw the advert again on one of the womens fansites about a year or two ago.

Its pretty bad when even Trish at her peak could never get on the card.

Its pretty bad when even Trish at her peak could never get on the card. Yeah, I had to look it up twice as it is tough to believe that Trish never defending the title a single time at SummerSlam during any of her reigns. Her only SummerSlam match features her being green as heck in almost a non-wrestler role.

They forgot the 6 women tag team match (Ivory, Stacy and Torrie vs Lita, Molly and Jacqueline) in 2001.

Was the Melina/Fox match from Summerslam their 5 star classic? Or was it merely one of their other 4 1/2-3/4 star matches?

Thinking about last night's action as it relates to the other women's matches SummerSlam has seen both would probably be rank in the top half. That is not saying much though the mixed tag was arguably the best one SummerSlam has seen so far.
