I've arrived at Summerslam 2012 in watching all the Summerslam main events, and as HHH is making his way to the ring a Tweet from Shawn Michaels appeared on-screen. This is my first time watching something on home video from the age of on-screen tweets, and I thought they presented an interesting question. At least with this show they kept at least that one, but do you personally think they should keep them or leave them off (if possible, which I assume must be but maybe they're I dunno irremovably baked into the masters which I think is unlikely). It will be interesting to see how they handle this over the years.

Yeah, I like things as close to the original broadcast as possible.

I hate when they edit things out.

Even though they shove it down our throats at times, I would rather keep it as is. Either they will speak about Twitter stuff and say "as you can see at the bottom of your screen there" but no tweets shown, or it will have TV movie type edits where the voices change to talk about something different.

They should keep the Twitter stuff off their live and taped television.

(if possible, which I assume must be but maybe they're I dunno irremovably baked into the masters which I think is unlikely). It will be interesting to see how they handle this over the years. It might have just been laziness, but I remember watching a video on the WWE Youtube channel and, instead of just removing an add for a sponsor, they blurred it out. So, maybe they hide the masters deep enough that it would just be easier to get the Twitter'd versions. As for the question, yes because I like to see matches the way they were originally presented.

I say go the other way and edit in Twitter references in old matches. Like, add something in Taker / Mankind about how ThrownOffTheCell is trending.

Of course. It was part of the original broadcast; doing anything else would fail to be authentic.
