It depends on the comeuppance. If someone kicks Ryback's head in, or if Daniel Bryan does smash the Corporation, then it's OK Would those people complaining about the evil Corporation's bullying be complaining if Raw had ended with Bryan triumphant and Trips & Co. left red in the face with humiliation? Just a thought.

Kinda off topic, but kinda bugs me how these people that probably didn't care about bullying and didn't consider it a problem are suddenly so sensitive about it.
Not that it is a bad thing that people finally notice it is a big deal.

Not that it is a bad thing that people finally notice it is a big deal. I think it's more the thrill of pointing out hypocrisy than actually giving a shit about bullying. It's like a drug to some people, they get all sarcastic and ask rhetorical qusetions that start with "So,..." and end with "..., then?"

Triple H: Daniel Bryan, you're a horrible wrestler and I dislike you! Daniel Bryan: Now now, Triple H. You don't even know me! Triple H: That's fair. I'm sorry about last night, here's your title back.

>BigBadZ: I am appalled at WWE glorifying these evil bullies! How can I let my children be subjected to this?? If Dan. Bry. doesn't bash Orton's skull in with a steel chair next week, I will never watch Raw again. How can they expect us to sit back while Alberto Del Rio beats up poor Sin Cara and be quiet? RVD is a real role model for my kids and he should be the champion. He is so athletic and gets so high when he does the frog splash! Anyway, when is WWE going to stop this double standard of glorifying bullies while running B A Star? I miss the days of having a true honorable hero like Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Whenever I hear parents make these complains, this is exactly what I imagine they would like for the show to be I'll file a complaint. But that's because I'd like the show to be more like this and/or this.

What I want to know is why did no one have a problem with Daniel Bryan forceably shaving Wade Barrett's beard off when all he was doing was following his boss's orders to shave Bryan?

I've definitely heard the same sentiment expressed on this board (that heelish behavior is contrary to the anti-bullying campaign), but I'm really glad to see that's died out and/or was probably just a fringe view. To be fair people were complaining about faces doing heelish things like Lawler calling Vickie fat and Vince making fun of JR's bells palsy. I don't remember anyone complaining about heels doing bad things. Yeah, people were complaining about how some of the faces were worse than the heels when it came to bullying & being pricks.

We're not talking about Punk bullying a fan in this? Okay Its funny because this is the one actually legitimate case of company hypocrisy that happened lst night. The rest of it was heels being heels. Lawler even pointed out how Ryback is not an example for Be A Star. I guess its still real to them (damnit). Its kind of actually uncomfortable to read people who still believe that its real and thus Triple H and co bullying Daniel Bryan when they're supposed to be bad guys and you're supposed to hate them for what they do is SUPPOSED to be hypocritical. Like how can that even happen. Whenever I explain why I'm a wrestling fan I always include the line "noone believes its actually real so you don't need to tell me that, I understand that and thats part of why I like it" but then I see this and I'm reminded there are some people who apparently do. Though I bet if you actually told them wrestling is fake they'd say that they know that. They wouldn't be the first person to know wrestling is fake but not make the connection to what that MEANS. Like somehow know its fake but cognitive dissonance somehow happens. I know people in real life like that. Its weird to me.

Its simple. If WWE is going to be anti-bullying they should make sure that the faces never bully anyone (which they haven't been perfect at) but having heels that bully is fine and in fact encouraged if they play up the fact that they are a bully and that that is a bad thing.
But then people like this will call it hypocritical because they somehow believe its all real, and probably totally ignore the actions of the faces that bully people because they also forgive the actions of the faces no matter what and don't even question that.
Its just so WEIRD to me. I can't get over it.

It doesn't have anything to do with thinking it's real, it seems like it just has to do with short attention spans. "He didn't get his comeuppance IMMEDIATELY! That means it will never happen!! Where are my pancakes!"

Whenever I hear parents make these complains, this is exactly what I imagine they would like for the show to be >Reflecto: Oh no you don't! How DARE the WWE act this way? Daniel Bryan and Triple H were outright bullying the members of the WWE Universe in this segment. They dared to drink lemonade and say nice things about it, and each other, in a way to bully the people. My son is diabetic and can't drink lemonade like these two- when Daniel Bryan and Triple H shared that, they were outright mocking my son for not being able to have anything with sugar in it. He went to me and said 'Daddy, why does the WWE hate me and want me miserable? Are they just evil?', and he walked around all day with a dead look in his eyes, as if he'll never be truly happy again. If WWE doesn't make a public apology next week, they're officially saying bullying is okay!

This is the problem nowadays. If heels can't do things that AREN'T OKAY, then what's the point? HHH wasn't even subtle in his heeling on Monday. It's not as if there's grey area. You aren't supposed to support what he is doing or saying.
TV shows have sexists, racists, rapists, murderers and all kinds of complete scumbags, and nobody bats an eyelid, or they call it gritty and compelling TV. The one show on TV that consistently bashes you over the head with the idea that it's "ENTERTAINMENT" catches shit because their bad guys say mean words to people.
That being said, stuff like Sheamus being Superdick, and Vince making fun of JR's Bell's Palsy can f*** off my TV screen immediately. Regardless of bullying etc, its just crappy TV.

These people frustrate me more then any other kind of fan. I don't understand how these people can watch the show, they claim for years even, yet not understand the fundamental basics of professional wrestling. Most people who don't even watch wrestling understand this.

I always knew this embracing the anti-bullying thing was going to bite them in the ass regularly. The whole business is built on conflict. How are they expected to keep the balance of message versus storyline

Bad guy is mean, gets taken down by good guy. Rinse and repeat. ..........but the period of time where the bad guy is mean, without comeuppance, has extended greatly. Ryback's been a bully prick for a month now, to a bunch of nobody stagehands. Has anyone given him sh*t back or whooped his ass for what he's been doing? No. You let a bully be a bully for a long time with no beating or even a lesson learned moment, and it presents the image that being a bully means you can get away with it and do whatever you want. People are reacting badly to the WWE going on and on with that. The HHH/Bryan thing, though....I didn't think of that one as bullying, probably because the point of the feud isn't "I'm a bully, you're the victim, lol" and that Bryan has a chance to regularly get back at them.
