WCW probably would've trashed the entire lifespan of WWF as a sideshow act that hated the sport of wrestling. They would claim guys like Hogan & Savage had tried to go over there and bring it back to a sport, but it was too far gone. WCW would proclaim themselves the savior of the sport of pro wrestling that had existed for 100 years.
But in all likelihood, if the WWF had gone out of business, WCW would have still gone under in the early 2000s. So the only wrestling related documentaries would be a segment on VH1's I Love 1998 with Hal Sparks and Michael Ian Black doing Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan impressions.

I don't think WWE would have gone out of business. I'm CERTAIN somebody other than Turner would buy it from Vince. Even in the late-mid 90's, the WWF brand name was synonymous with its niche and the tape library had a substantial potential that had yet to be fully exploited. There would have been a bidding war over it.
Keep in mind, after Bischoff's group bailed on buying WCW, Time Warner turned around and pretty much gave Vince the company in a pretty basket without trying to put it on the market. Jericho was quoted as saying that if he had known how little the company cost Vince, he would have tried to buy it himself.
So I'm thinking, A LOT of people would have tried to buy the WWF. From wrestlers to promoters to business people to media conglomerates.
