Dough Dillinger: What did we learn from the Monday Night Wars? That you don’t mess with Mr. Bischoff!
Okay, maybe that's not revising history, but I could see it happening.
I could see WCW brass taking shots at the WWF for pushing a midcarder like Stone Cold to the main event haha.

I still see WCW going out of buisness

Hulk Hogan: "That just goes to show you, you can't try to use young guys. They had that guy that took his name from a Lee Majors character, and he went nowhere. There was also that Samoan, what was his name, Rocky Melvin? He didn't have what it took to be a draw. Chris Jericho, that Terra Ryzing guy, Cactus Jack, those tag teams, we showed them those guys aren't what the fans wanted to see."
Eric Bischoff: "Ultimately what the fans wanted to see was Hulk Hogan, and his friends. Fans didn't care about the other guys, they only cared about the main event. And the bad guys didn't need to lose the big storyline."

I still see WCW going out of buisness Yeah. If WWE went out of business, WCW still would have eventually. As poorly run as that company was, it was inevitable.

I still see WCW going out of buisness Probably, but let's say this is a parallel universe where the WWF did everything the exact same and whatever reason AOL/Time Warner decided to let WCW live.

In this parallel universe, would WCW pick up any WWF guys?

Eh, I don't think they'd be revising things like Foley winning the belt or Jericho debuting with the company, because honestly, by 1999, it was a foregone conclusion what would happen within 2 years, IMO. If Attitude turned out to be a bust, however, and the WWF continued the downward spiral of the mid-90s, I can actually see them being out of business no later than the end of 1998. When WCW inevitably released the Rise and Fall of the WWF 10 years later, they'd talk about the WWF's attempt at outrageous, Jerry Springer style programming filled with over-the-top profanity, sexuality, and violence, and how it was the sad and desperate final act of a once proud and profitable company that knew their time was up. Basically, they'd equate Attitude to what the Team Challenge series was for the AWA. At least that's how I see them spinning it.

Who would get the DDP treatment? Triple H, of course. So whose wife does he stalk and eventually job to after a one-sided feud with her husband?

Tony Schiavone: Vince was losing the ratings war for 80+ weeks and instead of using his wealth to try and hire new writers or bring in some top talents he decided to waste money funding a small time indy promotion in Philadelphia that wrestled out of a bingo hall.

Gerald Brisco: My reaction to WCW announcing they would go head to head with RAW was "they'll knock our socks off. They'll beat the crap out of us. Kick us in the dirt. Watch us roll over and we'll die."
Narrator: WWF brought in the WCW mid carders like Steve Austin and Terra Ryzing. Fans were confused yet interested.
Obiligatory Steve Lombardi portion of the DVD: Sometime there is an alligator driving a car and sometimes I'm wearing a hat made out of meat.
Vince McMahon: To be honest, I didn't think Monday Night Raw would ever have a chance against Nitro. Either way, I'm much happier working for Mr Bischoff. Say what you will about him but he is a very kind, generous man who treats his employees like his family.

Eric Bischoff: "The turning point in our war with the WWF was when they put their World Title on that fat-ass joke "Cactus Jack". He sucked then, he sucked when he worked for us. And he drove viewers away. I'd piss on a stack of money and burn it before we'd ever hire him."
Tony Schiavone: "It was the greatest night in the history of our sport (when the WWF went out of business)."

Hulk Hogan who was no longer in WCW would go to Vince, they would make up and he would be buy what's left of WWF. WCW would be run by Jerry Jarrett, Eric Bischoff, and John Lauranitis. Or maybe ECW doesn't go out of business and they get airtime on USA, because they bought out WWF and that's what convinces USA to say yes. And then Heyman would be gloating on how he stuck it to the man and proclaim that Extreme killed Sports Entertainment.

I'm sure Easy E would have been cackling about it in the booth, talking about how he knew Steve Austin was never a maineventer and having Schiavone run down The Rock and Mick Foley, right up until TNT pulled the plug and WCW went out of business.
