El Generico unmasking. I'll admit I over-reacted too, I was devastated to know the character had come to an end but really, it was for the best. WWE's version of El Generico wouldn't have been the one we are used to and Sami Zayn has proven to be fantastic anyway. The El Generico character gets to go down as an untainted indy wrestling legend and I'm more then OK with that.

Remember the second week of the Nexus angle when the WWE locker room ran the Nexus out of the building? Because 7 guys didn't beat up an entire locker room people were already saying the angle was ruined.

Ryder not becoming super champion of the Universe...c'mon. It's hilarious how fast seemingly everyone soured on Ryder.

Speaking of Bryan, losing to Sheamus in 18 seconds. I don't think that's a fair example. It's not like at the time anybody knew that those 18 seconds would suddenly make Bryan the most over wrestler in the company. Several people, myself included, bought that PPV partly on the basis of Bryan vs. Sheamus because those two had great in-ring chemistry, as Extreme Rules showed. And even if you thought Sheamus sucked, most people were expecting a MOTYC out of Bryan, and we got a shitty squash match - which especially infuriated me because it's the fourth or fifth time I've bought a PPV and then been handed a squash match for my trouble (Chavo/Kane, JBL/Mysterio, Christian/Regal, 18 seconds, and I'm sure there are others). it's also worth noting that IMO a large segment of the audience still hasn't forgiven Sheamus for that (not that it was his fault to begin with).

Daniel Bryan losing to Randy Orton at Summerslam recently. Come on, they wouldn't squash Daniel Bryan so quickly like that after him getting so much support from the fans!
... right?

People getting over upset about Michael Cole running down Daniel Bryan on NXT, as if the WWE Universe would start liking Cole and take him seriously as a judge of talent. Yeah it was like people forgot that Cole was the heel and we weren't supposed to agree with him.

Zack Ryder not getting a push.
Zack Ryder getting the push but not being 'protected' from his terrible promo skills.
Zack Ryder not getting a piece of a big angle.
Zack Ryder getting a piece of a big angle, then getting a literal push off-stage (which was hilarious).
Zack Ryder getting 'buried'.
Zack Ryder possibly not getting 'buried'.
Zack Ryder getting 'buried'.
Zack Ryder not getting a push.
All in that order.

Yeah it was like people forgot that Cole was the heel and we weren't supposed to agree with him. The problem wasn't Cole. It was that Lawler didn't defend Bryan. He just said nothing. The heel's stance wasn't challenged by the babyface announcer like it's supposed to and has been since the dawn of that dynamic. Terrible, counterproductive TV.

People getting over upset about Michael Cole running down Daniel Bryan on NXT, as if the WWE Universe would start liking Cole and take him seriously as a judge of talent. Yeah it was like people forgot that Cole was the heel and we weren't supposed to agree with him. He was also the lead announcer of the company and was verbally burying the guy unopposed. The IWC was correct to complain about that. It was a stupid thing for WWE to do and placed unnecessary impediments in the way of Daniel Bryan's progress.

Whether or not CM Punk would sign a new contract before MITB 2011. It was never even a question.

Daniel Bryan getting "fired". I disagree. The Nexus angle could have been so much better if he were there for more than the first day.

For the most part, there was actually reason for concern in alot of these situations. Granted the hole Micheal Cole burying Bryan thing was clearly just WWE trying to get under the IWC's skin. BTW, Lawler did defend him, quite a few times actually.
But as far as WWE firing Bryan and the Sheamus match, I was part and can understand the concern. The Bryan/Sheamus match's booking would have been fine for a Smackdown, but Wrestlemania? Come on, that could have been a great match. If I bought that ppv or attended, I would have been very upset, it easily could have been a classic match as they proved at a recent Raw match. Funny enough, it ended up making Bryan a fan favorite and Sheamus has gotten a very mixed reaction ever since, at times getting straight up booed.
The thing about the Bryan situations is if the fans didn't go nuts and react, how would WWE have handled the situation? To me, it seems like the reactions forced the WWE to give us what we wanted. But if it wasn't the case, you can't prove that he would still be employed or not relegated back to the mid-card.
Then there is Zach Ryder, who we have mostly moved on from. There were concerns of him getting buried and returning to jobber status. Last time I checked, he did and is back on the bottom of the card. However, unlike Bryan his IWC love didn't really catch on with the mainstream fans and was short lived. Then again, his booking really helped make you not care about him.
Worrying about HHH going over on everyone, well just look at his last ten years of booking and try to honestly argue it. Okay, maybe we went overboard worrying about him beating the Undertaker. But then again, it did atleast make the match interesting.
As far as times the IWC got worked up over nothing, really the way CM Punk has been booked over the last two years. The guy had the longest WWE title reign since Hogan's reign in the 80s and people still complained.

It's hilarious how fast seemingly everyone soured on Ryder. The fact that everyone hates Ryder now makes me sad. That whole Ryder fiasco was like fapping to really weird porn. In the moment you are super into it, but then you finish and it hits you what you were looking at and you think "What the f*** was I doing?" and become disgusted with yourself for the rest of the day. I wanted to make some kind of gay joke about how much I enjoy fapping to Ryder, but damn, that comparison is cold blooded.
