Some assembly required. So this year's SummerSlam (well SummerSlam proper, if you don't count the Van Dam-Ambrose pre-show match) began with the "Ring of Fire" match. Now I assume this gimmick match takes some time to assemble and then disassemble. Now I didn't see the show, so did the crew taking apart the "Ring of Fire" hurt the flow of the show at all? It just seems weird to start a PPV with a match that requires the ring crew to take down the gimmick match so the second match can start. Later in the card I can see because it gives everyone a chance to have a piss break and show some vignettes for one of the other feature matches. Anyone else know of any othe PPVs that begin with a gimmick match in which takes time to set it up and take it down? The only other example I can think is SummerSlam '97 with the Mankind vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley in the old blue bar steel cage (which has to be assembled on the spot as opposed to the cage now a days that can be raised and lowered from the ceiling). Any other examples of this?

Armageddon 2006 started with the Kane vs. MVP Inferno Match, I'm guessing it's just a logistic thing. They can get it set up before the show starts and just worry about air-time in taking it down.
Also Wrestlemania 23 and 25 both started with Money In The Bank matches.

Didn't seem like a big deal in this case.
Having it first is good, since they can get that stuff going between the pre show and the PPV while doing intros, pyro on the ramp and all that stuff.
Disassembling it apparently wasn't a big deal. I didn't really notice a long wait. They did the round table commentary briefly and then started promoting the next match. I wasn't even thinking about it at the time, longer wait than usual but nothing crazy.
