Shockingly, ROH is running a show in the Chattanooga, TN area on September 6th. Naturally, I decide it's a good idea to go to this show seeing as how I've never seen a ROH show and they never come around here. So I go to buy tickets and a problem appears.
When buying tickets, there's a drop-down menu that says, "General Admission, Row 1 ($40.00), Row 2 ($20.00), Row 3 ($10.00), and Row 4 ($5.00). Being as cheap as I am, I go with two row 4 tickets. Imagine my surprise when my total is $50.00.
So what am I missing? I am new to the world of ROH live, so I wasn't sure if there was some sort of secret password or dance I needed to know to get the correct price. Anyone else have any issues like this?

Probably a bunch of fees.

Probably a bunch of fees. If they're charging $40 in 'fees', ROH is in worse shape than I suspected.

The price in the drop down menu says +$5 for row four, not $5. Below the menu is a blurb that says that General Admission tickets are $20, and tickets in a specific row are $20 plus the price on the drop down menu. So Row 4 seats cost $20 plus $5 to get a guaranteed row, not $5.

No major (or even "major indy") promotion is selling their ringside tickets for five dollars.

ROH stop putting their tickets on sale a while ago. i used to get third row for $15 (using their special discounts and whatever), but at the show i went to at the beginning of the month, my friend and i sat 7th row, $25 a ticket.

Probably a bunch of fees. If they're charging $40 in 'fees', ROH is in worse shape than I suspected. Or because they are selling their tickets through TicketMaster

Did you think general admission seats cost 0?? No, but I did find it a little confusing on their site. I think they've fixed it since I initially posted the thread. They now have a "+" beside of the $20, $10, and +$5, so it makes a little more since now. Before that, I just assumed row 4/$5 was 'general admission'. So yeah. That's sorted out, I suppose. Having said that, even $20+ seems to expensive to see a ROH show in 2013, so I guess I'm sitting this one out.

uh, they've always had the "+" beside the prices for 1st row, 2nd row, etc.
and as far as $20 being "expensive" to see an ROH show goes, most of the top indies charge $20 or more for general admission (DGUSA, EVOLVE, PWG, CZW, etc.)

Maybe he just missed the + the first time around.
He got his answer. We don't need to make him feel bad about it.

While I myself have known about the pricing menu, I can sympathize with the OP, as it is very confusing if you don't know about it.

$20 for an ROH show in 2013 is a pretty good deal.
