Let's face it, the tv title should be the real lesser belt/step up ladder to the heavyweight title. The X title is a whole different animal.
There probably shouldn't be a plan c, but if they absolutely must have it, then this makes more sense. Plus the belts float next to each other most of the time. Like Devon and Bully each having one of the belts.

If they MUST have the option then yes, The TV Title would be better.
I'm not a fan of any belt being seen as less. I'm okay with implication but openly admitting it is lame.

I'd rather Plan C not exist.

I like having a cruiser/light heavyweight title as the other singles title. With it being a different weight class it can be billed as the best in that weight class is holding that title. How stupid would it be if the UFC had their world heavyweight title and then another heavyweight title that was treated as lesser?

Te TV title is basically retired, that's why it's on a character that's shown up 4 times in 18 months

The Television Champion should be able to trade-in the TV Title for the chance to actually appear on television.

No. There just shouldn't be any Plan C. They should use the TV title like a real secondary title, y'know, giving it to up and comers and have them defend it and feud with others, and use it as a gauge to see who can be a World Champion. Wrestling 101.

Plan C made sense the first time it happened. Austin Aries was the hottest wrestler in the promotion at the time and TNA wanted to capitalize on that. He beaten every X Division guy thrice and had no more real challenges left. TNA wanted a way to have him challenge Roode for the World title, drop the belt without losing it, and leave the Division. So Option C was born. Flash forward a year later, no X Division guy is over. Most of the former X champions during that year's time have disappeared. Sabin is chosen for this year push but hasn't had enough time to get over with the crowd. He wins the title via cheating and outside interference. He wasn't elevated and few bought into the idea of him as Word championship material. I rather they give a guy a title shot when the time is right instead of putting someone in a spot they aren't ready for.
And the TV title would be good to use to elevating younger talent and give relevancy to veterans. But who knows if TNA will have enough people left for the belt to return?

Why would they that is like trading in gold for aluminum. The TV Title is more worthless right now than the defunct knockouts tag titles unless they did something with the title and gave it a little more prestige than possible but until that moment no

Why would a midcard champion risk a title to go after a title of the same prestige, if not lower?
That makes no sense.

Let's face it, the tv title should be the real lesser belt/step up ladder to the heavyweight title. The X title is a whole different animal. That the whole reason why Option C is special and only works with the X-Division title. Of course the TV title is supposed to be the stepping stone for the World Heavyweight Championship, and the X-Division is in a largely unrelated division. The whole point of Destination X as an annual event is that it's the night we focus on that separate division, and Option C allows for the focal point of that division for one night out of the entire year a guaranteed shot at the centerpiece of the company. The TV title being option C wouldn't make any sense at all as it's, by its very existence, a stepping stone already. Option C allows for two paths that may never cross to meet each other head-on. It adds prestige to the title and the competitiveness of the division itself. EDIT: Wait, are you suggesting the TV title should be the one that's cashed in for Option C, or the title that Option C applies for?

It's all moot, anyway, as the TV Title has been, at least temporarily, retired.
Logical, too: the roster isn't big enough, and there isn't enough TV time, to warrant having it.
I think the only way you could justify having it back would be if TNA got a second TV show, maybe just a 1 hour "showcase" style show, where the main belt was the TV belt, but the bulk of the roster on that show rotated in and out depending on where Impact was broadcasting from or whatever. That way, if you won the belt it meant you had a chance to stay on the roster longer, and maybe eventually earn yourself a full-time contract.
It'd be tough to pull off, but it's just an idea.

Te TV title is basically retired, that's why it's on a character that's shown up 4 times in 18 months Damn I had to google that, I didn't realise Abyss had even shown up again this year, let alone won the TV title. I thought Devon still had it!

The TV Title is their best looking belt and it actually fits most of the wrestlers.

Tna has a huge roster
Putting the tv belt on say daniels or anderson and just having it defended weekly make it important

Plan C is genuinely one of the things I like the most about TNA, it makes the other title feel important(not in the right way, some might argue, but I got into TNA long past the time it was important in its own way so hey!). I would strongly dislike the idea of the TV title being important because reminding myself that a title literally called "TV title" exists makes me cringe.
I mean goddamn it, you might as well call it "The Jobber Title."
