Woo, sequel thread. Those are always fun, except when it's some meme where it gets like 40 threads just like it in the span of an hour.
So, what're everyone's impressions on the second week of the New Corportation / "Stone Cold" Daniel Bryan storyline? Don't know that I'll make these through the entire thing, but I figured the one follow-up couldn't hurt.
Personally... Complete opposite of last week. Liked the segments involving it last week quite a bit, this week every one of them found some way to annoy me. Could really say that about this week's show in general, but that storyline's probably where it hits hardest because I was actually eager to see where it'd go from here.
In particular, everything involving the car was lame as hell. And I'd call it predictable, except I'd never have imagined Bryan's vandalism being that half-assed.

I like the opening segment and the ending. The D-Bry vandalizing the car wasn't that great though. Overall, it's still going good though.

I'm torn in that the buildup seems good, but only if it's actually building up to something and you can honestly never tell with the WWE.

I'm torn in that the buildup seems good, but only if it's actually building up to something and you can honestly never tell with the WWE. That's the thing. They're playing a dangerous game. This could have a fantastic payoff...but it's WWE. They've fumbled so many endings that I honestly don't trust them to finish a story.

The only thing I liked about this week is the clear signs of a massive revolt coming. Show is gonna snap, followed by Ziggler & Miz. All 3 of whom have been rivals of Bryan in the past and are now willing to risk their jobs to stand up for him.

I'm liking it so far, but the whole angle can easily turn to shit depending on how it all ends.

I don't trust them either, but being perfectly honest WWE has me stockholmn syndrome'd to the point I will watch it regardless of its quality, so for now I'll just be glad they have my attention and pray to Macho Man that this ends up having the fantastical payoff they seem to be building towards.

I thought this was good in really establishing The new power of HHH/Orton, against the entire roster.

I'm not into Y2Bryan that much, the character stuff. In the ring he gets the desired reactions and is a blast.

I like the opening segment and the ending. The D-Bry vandalizing the car wasn't that great though. Overall, it's still going good though. Something tell me that the WWE isn't totally eager to absolutely annihilate vehicles like they did in the past. Paint seems to be their go-to for car destruction now. Anyway, I'm pleased with the progression. The New Corporation went from loud cheers to loud boos by the end of the show and signs of the roster turning against HHH are starting to show, namely with Show, Mark Henry and Ziggler. That said, they can't end next week's Raw with Bryan face down while the New Corporation standing tall. Too repetitive. Maybe have the Shield come down and attack Bryan during a match, only for Show, Mark and Ziggler to make the save. They stand tall over the Shield while HHH and Orton look on, planing to get revenge the next week.

I got to say, I really really wanted Show to just pop Orton or Hunter in the face, which is the reaction they were going for.
I just hope that they don't wait too long for them to finally pull the trigger with the Show/Ziggler/maybe Miz rebellion.
But yeah, car destruction was lame in execution and a bit cliched.

If they ever wanted to get Ziggler over as a face, the moment him and Big Show come to help, the people will go nuts.

Boring, predictable, too organized.
What it needed was for the 40 people there to rebel anyway.
Triple H tries to fire them but they threaten unparalleled, unending harm on him if he does. They show no fear to him and his stooges. And they keep coming back and harassing him. And now he has to deal with this monstrosity while still trying to keep Bryan away from the WWE title.

Trips is knocking it out of the park as a despicable power-mad asshole, but using the same ending 2 weeks in a row was week. plus it made the entire roster other than D-bry look like morons. hey numbnuts, he can't afford to fire all of you. but then that would require logic.

Man, I kinda wanted to hear that "FEED ME!" from the speakers and Ryback running down the ramp to help Bryan.

Let's be honest: it was a car on WWE television. They tend not to make it out of the show intact, it was lucky enough to escape with a bunch of references to the band that wrote "Roundabout".

It's too early for any of that. The storyline's only been going on for 8 days. There's no point in rushing to the climax for an angle that'll probably last at least until Survivor Series. Also the heels shouldn't be rebelling at all. They should be happy with the way things turned out.

No one could possibly be so dumb as align themselves with someone who's losing when there's no way to win and they gain nothing from it by winning.
