The roster is apparently idiotic to not think amongst themselves backstage "Hey, let's just ALL interfere." Of course then HHH would call up all of NXT.............. And then, madness. (Not Macho Madness, though. He died. ) So you're saying the WWE wrestlers should share some sort of hive mind? They are like bees, and without Queen Cena they can't organize themselves to do anything.

The whole angle itself is blatant self-awareness.
- Daniel Bryan isn't what the WWE corporate officers envision as a main eventer (sounds like every bit of wrestling news that goes back to his debut)
- Randy Orton is the company's idea of their face (the guy that people have criticized for numerous transgressions in the past like failed drug tests, maturity issues, pushed into main event status way too early in his career)
- Triple H wielding an extraordinary amount of power keeping people living in fear of him (every news story since he actually started dating Steph in real life)
- The corporation's insistence that they know what's best for the fans (a reference to pushing guys like Orton instead of internet favorites like Zack Ryder who fizzled out after a few months due to being booked like a chump which made the fans apathetic of him)
This angle is the ultimate in meta-commentary of what hardcore wrestling fans perceive is the primary cause of concern for the long-term future of the WWE. I'm surprised none of the major players have broken the fourth wall and winked at the camera while doing any of this.

I just want to see HHH talking up how Orton is going to be a fighting champion that puts the belt on the line every week in a grueling match...
And Orton spends the next month wrestling 3MB individually and Ricardo in WWE Title Matches.

HHH trying to steal D-Young's pops. It wouldn't be the first time Triple H's gotten himself heat by turning on Shawn.

Or a falls-count-anywhere match where Orton could pin Bryan anywhere in the building, but Bryan has to pin Orton in an undisclosed location in the building and only Triple-H knows where that place is. I would like that. There is just like a chalk outline on the ground that Orton has to be in. "The outline is only 5'10. HE WONT FIT!"

Ricardo wins, and swerve, reunites with Del Rio and hands him the WWE Title, making him the Undisputed Champion.

Still waiting for Triple-H to make title matches where it would be damn near impossible for Orton to lose the title. Like, for example, making Orton's match with Bryan at Night of Champions a cage match where Orton could only win by pinfall or submission and Bryan could only win by escaping the cage, and then when the cage is lowered, there's a roof and no doors on the cage(or the door is padlocked with a combination lock and only Triple-H knows the combination). Or a falls-count-anywhere match where Orton could pin Bryan anywhere in the building, but Bryan has to pin Orton in an undisclosed location in the building and only Triple-H knows where that place is. Okay, I would laugh my ass off if they booked an Orton/DBD cage match where Bryan had to escape to win, but when they lowered the cage it's got a roof and no doors. It's crazy how as funny as that stuff is, it seems like it'd be in character for Hunner to do.

Well, it's not unwatchable. It's very entertaining and I feel extremely sorry for you that you missed out. Thanks for the pity, but I lived through the Attitude Era. Once was more than enough. What I saw and fled from was cringeworthy. I know it's toward one goal (make D-Bry even bigger) and that's cool, but.....they're McMahons. It'll either be a twisting painful journey toward an inevitable (yet distant, and underwhelming) resolution, or they'll lose focus, make it about them, and worsen more lives and careers again. I'll stick to the midcard. I stuck with the midcard and a few favs for as long as I could, I wish you luck.

I like what HHH is up to now, incorporating some self awareness while doing it in a way that doesn't ruin kayfabe.

He should actually rename the WWE title to the HHH title and leave it that way.

To add to this, Zeb Coulter's obvious allusion to HHH's "Booker T" promo against "people like you" (i.e. Booker, Prime Time Players and fellow blacks) being welfare recipients. It's significant that they were on the same episode

Could almost see Triple H trying to play Bryan by saying the cage match has a 25 minute time limit and can only be won by escaping the cage, then having that scenario play out. The swerve being that after Bryan spends 20 minutes beating Orton into a pulp, Big Show and Henry come down and rip the side off the cage.

Triple H's self awareness in the last two weeks is about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face. The man obviously knows everything the internet has had to say about him and Vince, and now he's using all of that to great effect in making people hate him. And he's doing this because it's 2013, and internet wrestling fans aren't a fringe minority of the audience anymore. WWE realizes that, now if only the actual members of that fanbase could understand it. Absolutely. I think WWE has finally stopped trying to pander to the mainstream as much and is finally embracing the IWC hive mind they perceive us all to be. I think it's brilliant. This is a wonderfully hatable stable, and we have a bunch of old guys actually helping the young guys - The Shield, Bryan, even Dolph - get over.

I think it was a Freudian slip
He meant to say "this title is WWE's property"
But sometimes the truth just comes out.
Like listening to drunks.

This is worse than Immortal Enigma Jeff Hardy. At least with him, the focus was actually on Hardy instead of Hogan.
