"THE WWE TITLE IS MY PERSONAL PROPERTY! RANDY JUST CARRIES IT FOR ME!"
WWE being self-aware about how we all complain about the universe revolving around HHH, or his ridiculously overinflated ego laid bare for the world to see again?

I think if anything now Trips has used his ego AND booking power to become just such a troll to us now. Troll-ple H or Troller Hearst Helmsley tbh

Are you saying that WWE revolves around the Ultimate Asskicker and the King of Kings's ego? That can't be true.

Self-aware Triple H is best Triple H. The day he beats down Bryan with an actual shovel will be a glorious day.

See, I won't be 100% convinced that HHH is being self-aware until he actually cuts a promo about only marrying Steph so he could snatch control of the company out from underneath the McMahon bloodline, drove Shane out of the company just for that end, and now that he's in charge he doesn't need the McMahons anymore, because he's the smartest wrestler on earth, Kevin Nash has nothing on him...

Corporate asshole Triple H is so damn amazing. This is his best work in years. Hell this might be his best work since McMahon-Helmsley Era Trips. The only roadblock was his work after Orton left Evolution, and Trips had to deal with Batista.

Triple H's self awareness in the last two weeks is about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face. The man obviously knows everything the internet has had to say about him and Vince, and now he's using all of that to great effect in making people hate him. And he's doing this because it's 2013, and internet wrestling fans aren't a fringe minority of the audience anymore. WWE realizes that, now if only the actual members of that fanbase could understand it.

I enjoy it because it makes Randy look like a spineless shill who's not really worth anything.
Which is, unfortunately, the only way to make him get any heel heat.

Honestly, the best way to go would be for HHH to randomly make a buried alive match and help Orton bury Bryan.
It'd be the most glorious thing ever.

Makes sense. WWE is his personal e-fed.
Reminds me of a kid playing with his action figures at home and not wanting anyone else to play with him.

My only concern with that line was why was Randy Orton ok with Triple H saying that? I figured he would have at least commented about it, but he just stood there, like he agreed with him.

Hm, so my crazy theory is right, Hunter IS being the WWE Champion vicariously through Orton.

The way I watched it, he said it to Maddox when Orton was out of earshot or too busy concentrating on his ruined car. Maybe it's a bit of foreshadowing of future tension between them, just as Orton on smackdown saying he didn't know HHH would attack Bryan.

.....it's unwatchable.
Reading that the entire roster fears him - and that it's now a plot point that's mentioned on television - makes me glad that I tuned out early to find other things on TV and then went to bed at 9:30.

What I saw and fled from was cringeworthy. I know it's toward one goal (make D-Bry even bigger) and that's cool, but.....they're McMahons. It'll either be a twisting painful journey toward an inevitable (yet distant, and underwhelming) resolution, or they'll lose focus, make it about them, and worsen more lives and careers again. I'll stick to the midcard.
