Or Austin. Foley will be mowed down if gets involved though I was thinking as more of an authority figure kind of role. Maybe have him be in contact with the Board of Directors to try and keep Triple H and the McMahons from having too much power. I'm sure that this would provide some well-needed checks and balances to Vince McMahon, just like it did when he was commissioner.

I think it'd be better if Bryan can overcome all this on his own. Maybe, but isn't that the kind of thing that the wider internet fanbase is usually ragging on WWE for doing with Cena? I never draw attention to the possibility of the "internet favourite paradox" unless there's a good reason, so maybe some further elaboration might be necessary here. Personally, I'm fine with Bryan getting some help as long as he's the one who gets to deliver the killer blow (which in this case is winning the title back).

I think that Big Show/Miz/Ziggler helping wouldn't take away from Bryan doing it on his own. I think that Michaels getting involved pushes the focus towards the Michaels/HHH dynamic and just reinforces the 'solid B+' line in kayfabe AND IRL.

But Cena does it ALL THE TIME, it's expected of any angle Cena is in, that he's not been an actual underdog in years. Daniel Bryan is very much an underdog in this, and he should overcome the odds. However, I'm not against HBK turning up, or William Regal. In fact, I'd prefer Regal to be the former mentor they go with, as Bryan's style is closer to Regal's. And it puts William Regal on my TV again, I fail to see any negative in that.

My guess: HBK confronts HHH on Raw, asking him why he's doing all this attempting to get him to see the error of his ways. HHH has The Shield brutalize him to give Bryan more sympathy.
Then they beat William Regal up at catering.

Then they beat William Regal up at catering. That sounds more like a Ryback thing. And Regal would kill him anyway.

I know it shouldn't be all beards...but all the crazy beard people make sense.
Shawn can be mad his running buddy is a suit with his backwoodsy crazy look now. The Wyatts are total anti-establishment.

Only if its backwoods HBK. Watching Bryan's back, with his trusty bow and quiver of arrows. Once Vince gets around to watching The Avengers this'll happen. Book it. So around 2031 then.

HBK should do it. The moment he says "I trained Daniel Bryan", it will immediately boost DB
And then when the Corporation give HBK the inevitable beating, it gives DB even more motivation to destroy them.

I can see him maybe getting involved at some point, but I don't think it needs it. They've already hinted at Big Show, Ziggler and Miz getting involved. Keep it simple stupid.

HBK coming in wouldn't help Bryan, it would be done only to give more heat for HHH.
Therefore, book it in about 2 weeks.

Am I wrong in NOT wanting Michaels involved? He doesn't really add anything and I think it'd be better if Bryan can overcome all this on his own. I have no desire to see HBK ever again, and I say that as a fan. They do need a good guy with some authority in all of thisThen takes a Shield triple powerbomb off the Titan Tron. Now I want to see Shane vs. Ambrose.

I think HBK has a place in the storyline, much like I think Regal does.
I'd have Regal essentially do a moment not unlike his Eugene moment. Standing up, and even admitting he knows it's futile to do so, to Triple H and his lot, coming down to try to deal with them. Only for Orton and/or the Shield to beat him down at the feet of Triple H, with H just coldly watching on as Regal is destroyed.
I'd, most likely at a later date as I envision Regal stepping up because Bryan's hurt to begin with, Bryan coming back and getting revenge for Regal on the Shield.
Then, with some time to breathe, I'd eventually have HBK show up. Not for Bryan necessarily, but to talk to HHH about what he's becoming and trying to get him to see who he really is, and was in the past. With HHH saying something to the extent that he's who he's always been, and who he always was meant to be, right before absolutely destroying HBK. Subverting what's become a bit of a trope as of late, with HBK coming in only to get destroyed by whoever HHH's feuding with to garner sympathy for HHH.
I'd then have Bryan run down and try to save HBK.

He seems a little... suicidal."

No, the first time they have a confrontation Triple H should be prepared to verbally defend his actions to his buddy, but unprepared for a superkick to the face.

Remember Daniel Bryan's manliness scale? It wasn't ever really played up on TV.
We need segments with bearded HBK and bearded Bryan, where HBK gets Bryan back in touch with being a man.
Bryan: "Why do we have to carry these big logs?"
HBK: "Because men carry wood now SHUT UP"
