... then he swiftly eliminates everyone still in the ring before number thirty comes out, which turns out to be John Cena.
Who are you pulling for? Thought given the fears some have of one or the other winning it this might make for an interesting hypothetical question. Thought about throwing in the detail that 28 is Alberto del Rio but he's not really appropriate to the rationale behind the poll.

Does John Cena come back with a sombrero? If yes I pick him.

Cena, but only if he comes out with a shirt that says "SPOILER : CENA WINS" on it.

There aren't many situations where I'd just outright turn off a PPV in the main event but this might be one of them.

If we get ass kicking Sheamus back then I have no problem with him winning the Rumble. If we get goofy Sheamus back then he's still the lesser of two evils, imo

Cena by far. Cena is still weirdly likable and consistently aims for great matches. Even if you pair him against someone he has feuded with before, there's still more potential for great promos and spots than with Sheamus.
I just don't get the appeal of Sheamus right now, aside from his look and the stiffness of some of his moves. He comes off as a mean-spirited dick in promos, and all the iconography surrounding him is just so stereotypically and broadly Irish that it doesn't work. It's 2013 -- a guy can be more than his "exotic" national/racial background. Sheamus can talk and has charisma. Let him be funny without being a jerk (if he is a face) and resorting to caricature. Sheamus apparently dresses dapper in real life. Let him dress like that for promos and class the joint up.

Damn. Either way, I would not be thrilled. Neither of them are winning it though, no way. Thay're the last 2 winners.
I'll take Cena though. It would mean the WWE title match would be a huge deal, and he'd cut some fine promos in the lead-up.

Cena, because I'd support anyone over Lameus.

I'm a Cena fan but I must go with my fellow Irishman on this one.

You know if you had two really over guys heel or face, that would be a fantastic way to end a Royal Rumble. Number 29 comes in and clears house and then along with the fans waits not knowing who number 30 is.

Unless it's 2009 heel Sheamus, Cena.

I would hate this scenario. I'm so sick of #30 being a surprise return. It's played out, yet expected these days. The Rumble is supposed to be a random draw. The odds of someone making their return at the Rumble, AND drawing #30 just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Sheamus. Especially if Del Rio will still be champion by 'Mania.

I like both guys a lot, but I'd prefer Sheamus in this scenario. Neither guy really needs a Rumble win though.
