Started watching in April 2007 and stopped in early 2008. Came back to watch it all again in August 2010 and then I started to watch on and off from January 2011 up until August the same year. And I just got back into it a few weeks ago. Nothing really made me come back to watch wrestling again - I just missed watching it.

1996 and 2003 are the only years it's happened.
1996 because I was a young teen and just fell into the whole "wrestling is fake and gay" mindset my peers had. Got back into it in 1998.
2003 because f*** everything about that year. Got back into it in 2004.
I'm pretty certain that my spirit has become unbreakable now though and I'll be watching for life. If the 2009 guest host era didn't make me quit, nothing will.

Lost contact in about 2004/5, returned a year later. No decision made, just not enough going on to entertain me.
I remember staying up every Monday in 2003 to see Taker f*** with Kane.

Right now actually. It started when I realized I was going to miss Summerslam which killed my buzz. I didn't want to get hyped for something I wasn't going to get to see. Then they went this current stuff with DB and the New Corp. and it has kept me away. Hard to really explain but I was wanting a crowning moment at Summerslam, not a tease for later. Throw in that I like Trips too much to want to watch him as a heel. It has completely turned me off WWE which sucks because I really want to keep up with the Punk stuff as it was entertaining. Plus I miss Cena which is surprising.

I've taken quite a few breaks.
Not because I hated the storylines/main eventers or anything, just kinda drift away for a while.
First couple episodes after you've stopped watching for 6 months or something are pretty awesome too.

Around late 2000 till 2003. Mainly because we had moved and there was no cable where we were, but when we moved back to Corpus, I got back into wrestling thanks to Evolution, Cena and Smackdown as a whole really.

Got into wrestling around Survivor Series 1999, and didn't stop watching regularly until mid-2008. After that I only really kept up with Smackdown occasionally, then stopped altogether after Jeff Hardy (my favorite)left. I haven't sat down and watched a full episode of Raw or Smackdown since that time, or even seen a PPV.
I keep up solely by reading online, or watching a clip on YouTube here or there. I've been trying to get into the current product and watch a full show, but the idea of having to see The McMahons/HHH again on TV regularly is making me very hesitant. I get my wrestling fix by watching old-school wrestling online.

You know what? Looking back, I don't know how any of us sat through the guest host stuff.

I was obsessed from about '92 through to 2002-ish. The only time I wavered in that time was when Montreal happened, as Bret Hart had kept me a fan during the New Generation phase, and I HATED how poorly he was treated. That was the first time I tried to watch WCW, but it didn't "take" and in the end I couldn't break from the WWF, particularly when Owen returned at the end of the Degeneration X PPV and attacked Shawn Michaels, which was very exciting and satisfying (and ultimately led to nothing).
After the invasion debacle in 2001, I found myself for the first time not really caring that much if I missed a Raw or a Smackdown, which was a major step to me moving on. But guys like Benoit, Jericho, Guerrero and Angle kept me watching, though guys like Triple H, Orton, Batista, BikerTaker and others were a big turn-off.
I was basically in heaven around WrestleMania XX - The Undertaker ditched the biker gimmick, Eddie was the WWE Champion, and above all Chris Benoit (second only to Bret Hart at that time as my favourite ever) was World Heavyweight Champion. By SummerSlam it was over - Orton had beaten Benoit and it was all about Triple H again; Bradshaw (whom I never liked until he started commentating) was being pushed as a big deal, and I had no interest left. So I turned-off.
Any hope of me returning to WWE seemed to end in 2007 - you can all guess why. I wanted nothing more to do with industry after what happened. It was shattering.
But then in late 2009, I heard something I never thought I'd hear - Bret Hart was going to return on the first Raw of 2010. I couldn't miss that. So I watched every minute of Bret's return in 2010, and got to know the new guys and found I still had a connection to some of the work that was going on.
From there I've followed things more closely, and watch Raw pretty regularly (though rarely all the way through - it's just too long). Guys like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are mostly responsible for my interest at this stage, but there are quite a few impressive talents on Raw that doing good work that I enjoy. I'll never be back to the level I was as a kid, but this is deeper into the product then I'd expect to be at this stage of my life.
I've even been considering mentioning to my cousin if she wants to go to the Raw taping in Manchester this coming November - that really would be something, as I haven't been to a show since 1999!

Eh, I wouldn't say I ever really quit watching as much as Raw in 2009-2011 before MITB just became background noise for me. 2009 Raw was just so, so awful.
