I met Nigel and Daniels in the bathroom right before their match at GBH V they were cool as hell. the arena was in some kids sports venue thats where the wrestlers were and the ring itself was about 40 feet out under a tent. it was cool I got to meet a lot of guys. Marufuji, Morishima, Joe, it was before WWE/TNA really swooped in and picked everyone up. Something else I learned that night: Christopher Daniels has a LOT of baggage. Dude made at least three trips from the locker room to his car just for his luggage. Also, Jack Evans asking for directions to his hotel, even though I didn't know much about East Windsor. ha! that was a hell of a night

I remember jokes around that time about KENTA in a TENT-A.

It's almost impossible not to be around him smile. Sami is a sarcastic ass, but if you like sarcasm he's a hoot, and he is awesome to eat wings with,

Bad ones: the ECW Zombie, easily. (yes, HIM.) First he thinks he's a bigger deal than he really was, which was just a novelty character for Sandman to cane into oblivion. Yet people STILL book him as said character, WTH? Making him still relevant only feeds his ego. Yet I know for a fact he is not a winner by any means. He held a grudge against me (long story) and was picking on me and singling me out at one indy show, beyond trying to get heat. The old DOI board had tons of other stories. Basically, he's a proverbial OJ who hasn't met the Las Vegas police yet and has so far escaped the karma train.
Kevin Matthews from PWS turned out to be terrible too, he is a gossip and one who bullies fans and other wrestlers, yet annoys me because he has a cult following him around of freak fans and yes men. Imagine Vince without earning anything, honestly. Some of the guys who work for him are like him too, unfortunately. Unfortunate because they had good legends show up at their shows, but if you act like a prick, I don't care if you had Jesus himself there!
Does Robbie E count too? I used to like him (even before, as Rob Eckos), but he was at an indy show in March and pushed a table into my friend and knocked her stuff down, without batting an eye.
The Big O is super cool and really nice, on the other hand. I kind of have a rapport with J.D. Smoothie of FWF in New Jersey too. Colt Cabana is cool as well.

As mentioned, Claudio was super nice. Met him at King of Trios 09. Remembered me from a show a few months prior and had a really friendly chat.
Got absolutely trashed with Jigsaw that same weekend. Day 3 of KOT, we gave eachother that "are you as hungover as I am?" look, and each got a nod in response.
Chris Daniels and Jerry Lynn were really cool to meet, too. Very humble.

Can I add Rob and Mike Fury of GCW on the "bad" list? They play cruel jokes on fans online, so I hear.

My buddy Frank has cerebral palsy. Great dude, has trouble walking and he's a huge cat because his knees are so shot he can barely walk. We went to a show here where The Flatliners were on it. This show had Tatanka, Scott Steiner and X-Pac on it (At least he came out as X-Pac. The second he hit the ring though, he was the 123 Kid all night. We started chanting 123! and he grabs a mic and goes "...You guys remember the 123 Kid?". This was before his Chikara return to the gimmick or anything. Awesome time). Anyway, Frank didn't give a crap about the big names he came to see because the Flatliners impressed him the most. Dude's really not social at all, doesn't interact with people often. He's sitting there at intermission and he goes "Man, what a surprise those guys were. I wish I could tell them." but didn't want to bug them without the money to pay for a ticket. Finally, he gets up and walks over. He sort of has to hobble so it takes him a while to get over there.
Intermission ends, Steiner packs up and beelines to the back. Asylum, half of the Flatliners, sees Frank working his way down the stairs and gives Burns an elbow. They mutter something to each other as they're packing up and I can tell they're trying to figure out if Frank's going to them. So Frank gets to the table and super meekly goes "I'm sorry guys. I don't have the money for an autograph. I just wanted to say you guys are awesome. You don't see enough good tag teams anymore, you know?" Well, the Flats LIGHT UP and start talking to him about tag wrestling and who they all like. Sign an 8X10 for him even though Frankie tells them specifically he doesn't want them to feel obligated to do it, and he honestly just wanted to say thank you. He apologizes over and over until Asylum puts his foot down and tells him that it's always nice to meet a fan. Frank walks back with his head held high, beaming for the rest of the night...
Until the Flatliners came out as heels at the end of the night to help out Highlander Robbie (who's an awesome heel). Frank's allegiance is very fickle, you see.

I got to take part in a phone interview with Seth Rollins back when he was Tyler Black and had recently won the ROH title. Guy was really cool. He was a blast to talk to.
My worst was more embarrassing and it was entirely my fault. I had to do a phone interview with Adam Pearce and I had only a couple of hours to prepare for it. So I have to call him and the call doesn't go through. I try this twice failing both times. Thankfully Adam calls me and we get rolling with the interview. Things are going fine and I get to a question about what else he wants to accomplish in wrestling. I decide to lead into the question first and basically say he had a so-so career, not those exact words, but that was what I was saying. I didn't MEAN to have it come out like that, but it was one of those situations where you can see the wrong words coming out of your mouth and you can't stop it. Adam realizes what I've said and calls me out on it, and this is live and several hundred people are listening to this, so I back peddle immediately and switch to full on ass kissing mode. To Adam Pearce's credit, he took it in stride and had a good laugh when I started sucking up to him. It was embarrassing for me, but I gained a lot of respect for Adam for being able to laugh about it when he could have chewed me out something fierce.

Not wrestlers (though they wish they were I'm sure), but the guys who run Legends of the Ring are pretty bad as well.

I was working ring crew at an NWA Hollywood taping one time, tightening up the ropes. Pearce walks in late, sees one of the producers, and has to run to the back to get to the booking meeting. He starts running, then veers left, climbs up to the ring, and shakes my hand. "Hey, how are ya, man? Really glad you're here." I tell him I'm a little hungover and he just laughs and says "I wouldn't expect anything less, man!" That was the first time I ever met him.

I just had a blast last night interviewing one of the local indy guys for my podcast. We ended up talking for almost 3 hours. Got to learn a bunch of stuff about the Mid Mississippi indy scene.

Best: I met Chris Hero at the 2011 Comic-Con. Totally starstruck the entire time, and the dude was just one of the most down to earth guys. He mentioned the PWG show that was coming up, told me a few stories of Sweeney, and was on his way.
Worst: Psychosis. I went to a random indy here, and the main event was a six man featuring Psychosis on one side and Rey Misterio Sr. on the other. After the match, Rey is high fiving fans, signing autographs, the whole works. Meanwhile, one kid went to get Psychosis's autograph and got shoved aside as he walked to the back.
