Best/Worst Interactions with Indie Talent?

I kind of want to emphasize the best part here, but just thought I'd include worst to in case anyone had any funny stories.

As for me I've talked to a ton of independent talent and have really nothing, but good things to say.

I do kind of have a funny Jimmy Rave story though. I was talking to him for a while back in I think 2007 about doing a phone interview back when I used to have a college radio show/podcast. So I e-mail him a proposed day and the next I hear from him like a day (or maybe a few days) after he had to get his jaw wired shut. That's right it was just before Nigel McGuiness broke his jaw! After that I started doing less interviews for the show and featured more music and stuff so we never got to reschedule. Fortunately, I was finally able to interview him just last year. Super, super nice guy.

Of the multiple guys I've met, every one that I can think of was gracious and appreciative. Kevin Steen is an especially cool dude.

I walked into the bathroom at an indie show once and Sami Callihan was in there in full attire in front of the mirror spraying excessive amounts of hair spray into his hair. We said hi and then I just peed as he continued to use an entire bottle on himself. I could barely breathe. It was pretty weird

At Glory By Honor V-1, I asked KENTA to sign a copy of one of the DVDs I bought earlier that night. Why am I filing it under "worst"? Because I am a moron and thought he was Kenta Kobashi... thus, the DVD was Joe vs. Kobashi.

Oopsie. He was really gracious about it, though, so we can also call that "best".

Pretty much name any CHIKARA talent, and I've had an awesome experience interacting with them. Specifically Sweeney, Donst, Hydra and Claudio I've had awesome times chatting with at shows in the past.

Not a bad one, per se, but definitely a slightly awkward one was when Alex Shelley of all people ended up beside me at a little hole in the wall concert some buddies dragged me to a few years ago. I did a double take when I noticed him and just nodded at him when he noticed me. Then went back to watching the show and told one of my buddies later that he was standing, like, three feet from him for the majority of the show. He lost his shit, being a huge Generation Next & Embassy fan.

It was funny, because later on we went onto one of the bands' Facebooks and spotted him near us in the pictures, skunk hair and all.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets that a lot when he comes to the states from newer indie/puro fans.

Ran into Claudio and Sara Del Ray before a ROH show once, talked for a few minutes they were both very nice.

Yeah, me too. Especially, because I don't think there is a way for that not to be illegal. Unless, Iowa has some different state laws, which is completely possible.
