I know the dirt sheets are saying that storyline thread is going to be picked up for Wrestlemania - that's not what I see happening however.
In terms of kayfabe, was all the bad blood interaction between the two just an act? After all, Triple H did state that he believed Daniel Bryan might be the future of the company - which we know is a lie now.
On the other hand, HHH pedigreed Maddox to become the ref for the Bryan Vs Cena match, and yet a few days later he's acting as his stooge?

The big flaw is that vince is supposed to turn face because he is afraid that HHH will take the company away.
So Vince who, is a heel and is against the top face. Suddenly becomes good again because his son in law joined him in the fight against the top face?
I see some people upset that HHH is involved with the feud, but it doesn't bug me the slightest.
This Vince arc however would turn me off of it completely.

I don't think the idea's that Triple H became Vince's stooge, since he's the one front and center in all the post-Summerslam promos while Vince is hanging back, but that HHH came around to Vince's line of thinking, possibly after some deliberate ego-stroking (like the segment where Vince told Hunter that the WWE champion ought to be "someone like you").

I'd like to think that Triple H honestly believed all those positive things he was saying about Daniel Bryan, and Pedigree'd Brad Maddox to impose himself as guest referee because he honestly wanted the best man to win at SummerSlam, and then sometime between Raw and SummerSlam, Vince showed him "the numbers" or whatever, that displayed how Randy Orton as champion was "better for business" than Bryan or John Cena, and Triple H saw dollar signs in his eyes and decided that whatever the outcome at SummerSlam, Orton was walking out as champion.

For the Maddox thing, it's possible that Brad agreed to take the fall for Hunner that one time in exchange for a spot in H's new regime.

i don't know about you guys but I'd love to see Shane O Mac come back jsut for this feud. Have him fight HHH for control of the company at Mania. HHH will win of course, but the story would be great.

Yeah, I also don't think Vince should turn face. If someone has to, than have it be HHH or Stephanie. Vince turning face after he finally turned into the Crazy Heel we've missed for so long would make things really disjointed.

Why would Hunner turn face so soon after establishing himself as the big, bad corporate boss acting in the name of Business?

Vince would gain the sympathy of the people (according to the plan), then Vince brings in someone (supposedly Rock or Austin) to face Triple H at Mania with the company on the line. Vince's guy wins.

Vince turning face after he finally turned into the Crazy Heel we've missed for so long would make things really disjointed. I can't be alone in the sheer boredom of this family of characters? Like Vince is just too played out. HHH could rehash everything Vince did as an on screen authority figure and it would still feel fresh in some ways. I have no interest in watching Vince. No sympathy for that family to be had either. I'm on bored right now, but once Vince starts getting all fearful of losing his company and switches alignments because of it than my brain will just shut down.

I agree with this line of thinking, but wish they'd actually said it. It'd at least make sense, as opposed to HHH turning for no reason

Come to think of it, I dont recall Vince being given any of his power back after being relieved by HHH the night after MITB 2011.
Then again, that who storyline and the mess with Laurinitis and the revolving door of GM's (including Vickie being fired then rehired within a day) make my head hurt.

To understand the nature of HHH's mind is like trying to understand why God gives babies cancer.

It makes sense if Vince turns face for one last run on TV to feud with Triple H. Rock(wrestling for Vince) against Triple H would be perfect, since neither guy would put any young guy over and these two have a long history together, but since Rock is only a maybe, why not have Triple H's hand-picked star Randy Orton take on Vince's favorite Cena? It would make sense in terms of battling for the top of the company, as these two were the two big stars rising up 5 years ago. These matches could open up younger stars like Bryan to be in the WWE title match for once.

I expect this storyline to have a resolution consistent with the resolution of what Braden Walker and Matt Hardy were going to do.

I do wonder if the whole thing is a swerve and Bryan ends up as the real Corporate champion, with the misguided idea that Orton should end up the face.
