I have always thought he would be a great talent to sign, and he would have some amazing matches with the current NXT roster, and the eventual main roster. Does he stand out to you as an important and valuable signing, or is there other indy talents that should be signed first? Don't you think he should/will ever be signed? He is currently 28 years old, debuted in 2001, 5'10, 215lb, very good in ring and has shown he has charisma/mic skills over the years both in TNA and in the indys. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}

I think he's sort of a boring, middle-of-the-road wrestler, and on the mic he's much better when he's doing an impression of someone who has the big personality that he lacks.
Personally, not a big fan.

Black Machismo or no buys. Regular Lethal is kind of meh.

Yes. Especially with some time in nxt finding a new character and a new name. The guy is excellent. Nash puts him over. Don't know why wwe wouldn't go after him. NXT would make him even better.
Plus i am all for a Lethal Consequences reuinion. We need a young black team full of energy. And they can try to save the rec center so the kids have a safe place to go after school. Yeah i want them to have positive black guy role models from the inetirs gimmicks. Complete with cross color clothes. R-truth will be their leader.

Absolutely.
If WWE is ever serious about pushing a cruiserweight division (doubtful since they tend to half-ass it), then he would be a great fit.

Why do people make poll results a secret until you vote? This prevents me from even being able to vote at all on mobile. If I could vote I would vote yes....

Have those of you voting "No" seen any of his 2013 work? He's GREATLY improved on the mic. There's few, if any, indie prospects right now who would be a slam dunk on every level that one could evaluate a sports entertainer as Jay Lethal.

It would be a great signing, IF they did stuff with him. Don't know if they would. Yes, the precedent is there with Punk/Bryan, but don't know that they would utilize Jay in the same way.

WWE has a pretty deep talent roster at the moment. I just don't see Lethal bringing anything that someone from nxt couldn't.

Sure, I don't see why not. Put him in NXT for some more polish then he'd be a solid addition for when they decide to give a shit about the mid-card, who knows? He might catch on too.
Nah, I do not think you should pair him with Xavier Woods. That just looks like lazy booking.

If he brings the same energy that he does as Black Machismo to a new persona, absolutely. If he's ROH Plain SRS Jay Lethal, pass.

Seeing Lethal do Black Machismo on WWE TV would look really lame. It will never ever happen.

I'd love to see Lethal in a WWE ring at some point.

Gimmick Stealer gimmick gets over short term like stevie and haas I'd totally mark for Lethal to impersonate Miz and call himself "Black Awesomeness"

I think he's sort of a boring, middle-of-the-road wrestler, and on the mic he's much better when he's doing an impression of someone who has the big personality that he lacks. Personally, not a big fan. This. He was okay in TNA as an X-Division wrestler/midcarder. He came back to ROH and reminded me how utterly boring he can be. Capable of very good matches if he is in there with the right talent but not even close to the next person WWE should sign. He'd be way down my list of indie talents to sign.

Why not? Bring him in after the next group of NXT call-ups, and see if he can make a decent character for himself. If he does, great, if he doesn't, no big loss.
