I love Jerry. He's not that bad, in fact not that bad at all. I suppose if he was a heel not as many people would be so hostile towards them, but regardless some of the comments in this thread are ludicrous. Jerry's a decent guy and one of the best wrestlers you could meet in real life. I met him when he did a local show, and he was nice enough to reserve a guest room for my mom and me. He also signed my book at his signing when it came out, and he had no trouble remembering us.
He doesn't even say puppies anymore, so I don't see what's been bad about his comments towards the Divas.

last time people really wanted him off, he had a heart attack........ And I'm very glad he made it out alive and practically good as new (seriously, that night and the days that followed we nerve-racking), but he should have stayed away. Commentary was significantly better without him.

He's the worst. I'd honestly prefer Booker back if they want a 3 man team for Raw.

I've said it before and I will say it again....
I would rather listen to Lawler make corny jokes and babble about women for three hours than listen to Heel PBP Michael Cole for 3 seconds.

Personally, I would be content with no commentary. No whiny voiced Cole, no corny washed up Lawler, and no mumbling JBL.

King is too square to be hip, it really annoys me that he can't even bother to put a suit on

King's fine. JBL is the one who needs gotten rid of ASAP.
More importantly, someone needs to remind WWE that being a heel announcer doesn't mean nitpicking the other announcers and being overbearing, it just means being aligned with the heels while being entertaining.

He doesn't add much at this point. It'd be better with just Cole and JBL playing the traditional face play-by-play and heel colour commentators.

I can't stand JBL and still don't like Cole. Some of King's corny old one liners are still gold to me. "I used to be a kleptomaniac but I took something for it". Classic.

King only works well as a commentator with a "straight-man" announcing partner who will respond to his jokes, like JR or Vince McMahon back in the day.
JBL overwelms King, and Michael Cole is so focused on corporate-speak and buzzwords that he generally ignores everything he says.
Also, he cannot play a face announcer. King should be pro-Corporation. Blindly justifying everything they do with ludicrous stretches of logic.

I like JBL much more than King, so I want him to stay. I do think that he's just the "third man" commentator in this situation.

Sometimes I'll laugh at his corny jokes but for the most part, King just annoys the hell out of me. He doesn't entertain me that much and most of the things he says either doesn't contribute to what's going on with the actual match itself, or is just plain offensive.

I'd move King to Smackdown and let him work with someone like Scott Sanford, who can be the straight man, albeit with humour of his own.

He was good until 1997 or so. At this point he needs to make like a Paul Heyman check and bounce.

Maybe I'm just going deaf, but I hardly even hear King over Cole and JBL at this point. Not that I'm complaining, but hey. I'm with you. I can barely even remember hearing King at all on Monday. Certainly not complaining either.

For example the shit he said after Miz danced with Summer Rae and she freaked out. "He asked if he can have this dance. That's protocol isn't it?" By that logic a man can rape a woman and it's totally okay, as long as he asked if he could have sex with her first, regardless of her answer. ...That's a totally reasonable reaction.
