I'll give them this when Big Show finally turns on the Corporation and the roster revolts, the pops for both is going to be tremendous. The former especially I can see going a ROTJ ending route with Bryan finally actually begging/screaming from Show, and the big guy finally stepping in.
Think it's all leading to a team Bryan vs. team HHH match at Survivor Series too. Bryan/Show/Ziggler/Cody/? vs. HHH/The Shield/? will make for a decent bout.

Why would he start asking other people for help now when he thinks he's perfectly capable of doing it himself? Because with Summerslam and the following several weeks, it's clear he ISN'T perfectly capable of doing it himself. He isn't? A couple of weeks ago he was able to get the upper hand for the majority of the gauntlet match against the Shield until they said f*** it and jumped him. I think it will come down to him finding some way to even the odds down the road but for now, he's going to be the cheerable underdog trying to fight them all off at once. I would like to see something where if they do go this same route for the next few weeks, he gets closer and closer to fighting them all off until he finally does. That would help him out a lot.

I said it in the Raw thread. I like this storyline because it feels like it is building up to something and its not for NOC. I don't want to believe it is for Cena either. For example: they beat down Dolph and Daniel, fired Cody, made Big Show cry. Miz was involved too. Eventually these guy will rise up. Big show even said that this week shit just got real. Sarabi and the rest of the lioness did not rise up until Simba gave them hope. The wwe is still in fairly good shape right now but it won't take long until it becomes a waste land just like pride rock. The hyenas (shield) will probably turn too and Scar (Orton) will be dethroned. I thought Scar would be Triple H. Also, who the hell is Zazu? Zack Ryder? It haven't factored in everyone yet, I just typed it off the top of my head. But Zazu looks like Maddox, and I guess Big Show is Pumba.

It'd be fresher if we hadn't just come off 6 months of Daniel Bryan and co. doing exactly that with The Shield.

People at FAN always repeat this line as a joke but this awesome storyline really does have the greatest odds of leading to a new boom period.

I'm finding this kind of discussion to be really fascinating, as it really showcases the base mindset of the wrestling fans here. Those who still have faith and believe in the magic of wrestling versus those who have been scarred by the past and won't be fooled again.
Good or bad, it's brought some freakin' life back into our discussions.

You mean beating Rollins after 15 minutes before getting a DQ victory after all of 2 minutes with Ambrose? That's hardly the upperhand, when in fact they weren't really looking to win to begin with. Bryan needs to change tactics. He doesn't need to be some fighting hero who continually gets taken out. He needs to go after his adversaries with any means possible. They threaten him with termination, he threatens them with guerrilla warfare at any cost. The last thing he should be doing is playing into exactly what Triple H wants out of him every single week. It makes him look pathetic.

Its just odd to see them really building up the heat on an angle. I'm so used to the Even Steven booking on so many (that only the Shield managed to barely avert at first) heel groups and figures that actually having the bad guys beat up the faces so many times in the row to the point where the crowd is on the verge of begging for comeuppance is almost out there.
Closest I've felt like that was with the Cole/Lawler angle and we all know how well that ended up being executed.

People have different tastes.

I'm so sad this thread's title got changed. Declaring this the WORST STORYLINE OF ALL TIME just had such a nice ring of hyperbolic histrionics to it.

It makes him look pathetic. The only reason the Shield jumped him was because he'd already beaten Rollins and had Ambrose in the Yes Lock in the middle of the ring. Had they not done that, they would have easily been down two members. They were perfectly wiling to let Rollins beat him, it wasn't until he lost and Ambrose was beat did they change their minds. I don't disagree that he might want to change tactics sometime down the road but for now, he has to play the babyface in peril until he fools them somehow and gets the upper hand.

If he's choosing to be in peril that just makes him seem like a lost cause. All the great babyface underdogs routinely flustered and embarrassed the heels they were up against. Daniel Bryan just gets laid out like a doofus.

That failed because the people didn't care about Lawler enough to make it the right kind of heat for the match. They just wanted Cole to go away, not get beat. Now they care about Bryan, and it's still the right kind of heat.
