Also did Daniel Bryan bury him? No, it was merely a knock on Daniel Bryan to say he's nothing more than a goofy cartoon gimmick that can't be taken seriously as the face of the company. Which is fair... Doink the Clown actually was a clown.

They probably forgot already that Matt Borne died recently.
Anyway, the Doink character was destroyed when Borne left and they replaced him and kept the character around for another year in a half. And the crowds certainly killed the character with the "KILL THE CLOWN" chants in mid-1995 when he finally disappeared.
