So Fandango suffered a broken nose after the Miz booted him in the face and he kept on going until the match was over, and JBL commented on how "tough" he was. Sin Cara instantly halts his match after dislocating his finger and gets the legit shit kicked out of him by Del Rio for doing so.
So d'you think the stock attitude among wrestlers is just to suck it up, ignore the pain if you can keep going and finish the match?
Do you think Fandango will go backstage and have HHH and Vince thinking highly of him as a tough s.o.b and a pro? Do you think Del Rio's attitude of "I'll give the little pussy something to cry about" is the standard response?
We're guessing here, of course, but what do you think?

Oh yeah, I think the initial reaction is to finish the match unless you absolutely cannot go on. I'll bet the majority backstage look highly on sucking it up (no Johnny Ace jokes).
These days it might be turning a corner with the focus on safety first, but being willing to work through the pain is pretty admirable in a way, and I'll bet wrestlers and management think so even more.

Candice Michelle shattered her collarbone in 4 places a few years back and still finished her match. But Sin Cara can't go on because of a dislocated finger. I think you're supposed to at least try to gut it out and fight through the pain instead of quitting right then and there. Leg, neck and head injuries seem to be the exception.

If it's not serious you finish the match. The ringside doctor checks every injury anyways so as long as he says you're good, you finish.

A friend of mine broke his hand during a double superplex, and wrestled for 15 more minutes afterward. Then didn't wrestle for 2 months afterward.
I don't think it's more fighting through the pain, but you stop noticing it when the adrenaline is up. Sin Cara's hand got hurt in the first 30 seconds of a match so he probably felt it instantly. I'm not gonna give him crap for erring on the side of caution.

It depends on the nature of the injury. Neck injury/concussions/spinal cord injuries/separated shoulder/torn ACL, no way stop the match immediately. Broken nose, sprained ankle, twisted knee, wrestlers are expected to work through that stuff. If it worsens, then they take time off to heal up. When the COO worked through a torn quadricep, and the top guy John Cena wrestled an entire 30 minute match (a classic!) with a torn tricep, it sets the bar high.
