What did you think when TNN/Spike was home to WWE programming? I could also add in MTV but they mainly showed Heat and Tough Enough during those days, but Spike and MTV are owned by Viacom, so I guess they are somewhat connected. In my opinion, even for the amount of time Raw was shown on that channel, I think it was still a little weird seeing as how USA showed WWF programming for a lot longer and even when I heard the news about a change in channels back in 2000, it still felt a little weird. I even read that there was somewhat of a decline in ratings the week Raw debuted on TNN, mostly because people were used to it being on USA, only to find some special on magicians airing that very night.
As years progressed, I kind of got used to it. The one thing I found funny was how back in 2002, USA aired Beyond The Mat and I even thought to myself "That was the first time I had seen WWF footage on USA in a while." I know USA airs movies from Universal mostly as even before NBC Universal bought USA, Universal and Paramount probably owned USA during that time. Of course, when I read back in 2005 that Raw was coming back to USA, I was a little surprised, but at the same time, I was like "it's coming home."
What did you think of it?

We've got Pop!! Is all I really remember from their TNN days.
And the Joe Schmo Show on Spike's early days.
It never really bothered me one way or another. Most of the same shows were still on at the same times. Just with a different bug in the corner.

There wasn't much of a difference to me when RAW moved to TNN. But I remember alot of people online complaining that they didn't get TNN/Spike at the time.
It always seemed like Sunday Night Heat had way more commercials on MTV than it did on USA.

The most disappointing thing was no more Walker Texas Ranger before Raw.

I remember when Raw helped with the kickoff of Spike TV only to have to do it again a few weeks later when the start date got pushed backed because Spike Lee sued. That was amusing.

Without it, I probably wouldn't have discovered MXC on Spike.....
And to me, Spike seems much more alive & interesting back then than it is now. Star Trek reruns, CSI, the aforementioned Most Extreme Elimination Challenge, Unsolved Mysteries. I can't think of any reason to watch Spike TV now, unless I want to build a car or......whatever...

I loved the fact that those foo-foo Dog Shows no longer pre-empted RAW on random Monday Nights. It was unforgivable to stay up past midnight just to watch the re-airing of a live-taped RAW back in the day.

There's Bar Rescue! That's decent. And then like 10 hours every day about tattoos. Bleh. I didn't mind either way, seemed the same to me back then. I, too, discovered MXC from Raw. And that makes it all worth it.

I remember those promos of Booker saying "The NEW TNN" and how the big debut of Spike was pushed back because of Spike Lee's lawsuit.
