Per Meltzer on WOR, the general belief is WWE is footing the bill for Angle's rehab. Which makes sense, I guess, considering TNA's financial problems and WWE's offer to pay for it for all past and present employees.
Now,can someone please bring that up to Dixie Carter or Jeremy Borash any time they start babbling about WWE being an evil corporation?

Cool for the WWE for doing that.

Good on the WWE to do that. And best of luck to Angle.

Good thing. Maybe Kurt will want to join WWE soon after.

Wait, didn't Angle get the boot from WWE in the first place because he refused to go to rehab? I wonder if things come full circle...

Isn't this the third time that WWE pay for a past WWE/current TNA wrestler rehab?

Yep, I think Kurt even stated that Vince more or less personally begged him to go to rehab, take all the time he needed, heal up and get clean. Kurt didn't want to take time off, said he was "fine", and so they cut him loose. Honestly, I don't care where Angle works, or if he just says hell with it and hangs up his boots, I'd love to see him get clean and stay that way. Thinking about it, why not call DDP, the man is apparently a friggin miracle worker, and I say that with absolute sincerity.

Not surprising news, but good news. WWE has always seemed to support Angle, long after his departure. They never buried the guy, in fact, they've been doing the opposite. He's been a constant presence on compilation DVD's and features on WWE.com, and he's always featured in ways that put him over as one of the best of all time. I hope they can get him the help he needs.

Not at all surprised. They're good when it comes to things like this.
On the flip side, it's in their best interests to keep former talent from flipping out and murdering people.

I think it was either that, or he refused to take time off to heal so they cut him. Now I've got this mental image of a beat-up Kurt Angle sitting on a stool in a locker room somewhere, with Vince patiently telling him to sort himself out. "I can't see nothing out of my eyes. Cut me, Vince. Cut me."

Of course WWE would foot the bill on an opposing company's superstar that used to work for them, they did the same thing with Dustin Runnels.

DDP could probably get Angle clean, and somehow get his hair to grow back to the length it was when he first started in WWE.

*cue the "Angle to WWE" rumors in 3... 2... * Don't want him back in WWE. DO want him in a WWE game.
