... on his impending fifth Intercontinental Championship reign on Monday. That will tie him up with Triple H and Edge for the third most reigns, behind Jericho with nine and Jeff Jarrett and RVD with six.
Wonder who he'll defend it against at Night of Champions. I'm thinking Fandango.

Sigh, why must it always be Kofi. They should've just let Punk fight for the title or let someone else contend for it.

Don't forget his 3 meaningless US title reigns.
He's going for double digits on forgettable midcard title reigns

And just to remind us how long Kofi's been running in place while the rest of the roster has either risen or fallen through the ranks, he's going to win it from his own NXT rookie.

I remember when it was a huge deal that Razor Ramon was the first ever 4-time Intercontinental Champ.

They're really pulling this bullcrap again?
Is Punk suffering from Undertaker syndrome or something?

I don't even think it's booked for Night of Champions at this point. And with McGilliCurtis playing extra in the Punk/Heyman feud, what are the chances it doesn't even get booked for the PPV?

Kofi's making it into the Hall of Fame based on the strength of his midcard career alone. How often can you say that about somebody?

Then when he loses it he will be a jobber for a couple of months with no direction. Then he will start a random tag team and win the tag titles only to be a jobber with no direction until he goes for the US or IC title again randomly. Dude has a total of 9 reigns between IC, US, and tag team championships.

Kofi's making it into the Hall of Fame based on the strength of his midcard career alone. How often can you say that about somebody? Well people clamor for Owen in the HOF despite being basically a midcarder.

10 title reigns and yet no one cares.
The closest one of his title reigns ever was to being important or relevant is the Air Boom run, and even THAT started as a boring randomly thrown together forgettable run.
